Any idea what this would be worth?

Post by Coopz »

Thinking of selling a bit of F1 memorabilia.
It's the nose cone off Eddie Cheevers Arrows that he parked in the wall at Adelaide in 1988 (from memory). It's in ok condition, dispite been part of a car that was written off, I have no idea what it would be worth though...:P

Do you have some pics of it? I know a few people who might be interested in it, if you give a rough price of what it's worth to YOU to let it go, I'll see what I can rustle up for you.

Yeah, same.
Would be worth a lot more if was anyone but Underacheever's.

Actually, a part of one of his cars that hasn't been smashed to pieces on a race track is a pretty rare item...

He's a dick anyway, Mate of mine had the same pitpass at daytona 24 hour race as the owner of the series, so thats a unlimited access to everywhere, and got kicked out by cheever from his garage. this was in 2007. Loser.

I actually have that crash on an old VHS tape somewhere

he was exiting the last turn, ran wide up the ripple strips, and hit the wall.

Was in qf, IIRC.

And no, i'm not going to spend 48 hours looking for it and putting it on you tube

...unless you give me the nose cone for free :)

Well somebody was a dick, Maybe your mate thought he was good enough to be in everyones face cos he had the same pitpass as the series owner. Gotta earn a bit of respect if you want to access to everyone.

hehe, I like it when people have a fleeting experience with a famous person and conclude that their entire personality is based upon how they are acting at that one brief moment.

Anyway, I have a mate who's in the F1 circus and he (and his office) said it probably would be worth something to an American collector, but the price of shipping would make it negligigibgibible. He suggested ringing round sports bars, it's exactly the sort of thing they're always looking for.

Haha, I missed the reply’s.

For full disclosure, as it was not a random bump, I sit next to a bloke at work who told me he once had Cheever’s nose cone and front wing but no longer has the nose. In a small world thingy, it happened to be the nose cone Coopz now has.

I still have the piece on the right, autographed too. Any idea what it might be worth? Like Cheever the driver had a career in Europe before retiring to become a top class professional talker.
