Gents,

Does anyone here play or once upon a time played AOE2exp?

Chaz, rep and I usually have a game most nights and its great fun though its gotten to the point where we want to play against more people, its great fun in conjunction with team speak or vent etc. Its especially good fun on vent discussing tactics etc, oh and also when someone is slightly inebriated, ie the old days with Rots before or during aal races making people infront of him spin by inducing a laughing fit on them.
So if anyone wants to have a game with us you are more than welcome to, its really good fun..post your interest in here or just add me to msn, should be in my profile somewhere .

Im not normally a sucker for retro remakes but AOE2 HD is out in a couple of weeks. Under $20 I might grab it. My all time fave RTS

I was a huge AOE fan back in the day..

Must say, it really is just AOE II made for a modern OS. Some of the graphics you could hardly call HD. However just look through the steam workshop and people have already made some far better graphics which suit it and seem much more like the original.

I have enjoyed quite a few rounds already getting back up to speed against some AI.

Had a win with a wonder on random map today, was quite chuffed.
