i have a question................I'm running the fully patched version using the Starfuck proggy. Previously i used to reboot my pc and thru CMOS turned off the IDE channel which my cd's/dvd's were connected to, MB allowed me to do that no probs. But now i just disable/enable them using the Starfuck prog, very handy.
There is a question here lol...is their anyone who's MB will NOT allow them to turn off cd's/dvd's thru CMOS, but find that the Starfuck prog works fine for them????

ok guys....ordered GTR from Sendit on the 7th and received it on the 18th...not bad considering it was released on the 11th
1st impressions?......welllll i had been driving a cracked copy but now i can get online and race. 1st 3 races i went in i got good grid positions but was taken out on the 1st lap EVERYTIME!!!! ....these guys are NUTS!!!!....got absolutely no idea on race etiquette. However today i got into a Scandanavian server and those guys were gr8....no rash moves....backmarkers were aware of ya and just a pleasing experience all round....quallied 3rd and after a weird start (1 full lap then green flag...huh?) i made my way up from 4th and finished 2nd
I highly recommend this game.....its bloody fantastic.....but you do have to be careful where ya race online....alll in all its a MUST have game
oh 1 more thing....it only cost me $65 OZ including shipping

Lol the start was a rolling start Bluesman! you better get used to them because there used in GTR :P.
Idea is that you dont pass untill the green flag and untill you have passed over the start finish line, Anytime before that will see you being penalised in real world racing.
Yeah im looking at ordering it from sendit. I have bought from them before and there claim of delivery within 7 days has been correct everytime.
When more Aussies get it you will find passworded servers where you can be assured of good clean fair racing.
Public servers on any game will always be embroiled with bad behaviour.
Have fun! hopefully ill be joining you in GTR soon .

Its really cool with the right people, i run it in a league here in germany and we always have lots of fun.
Racing can be pretty good, we are a bunch of clean drivers and gtrs online code is of the same quality like lfs, so you can really get close and fight good.
Maybe we can get something going together, only problem are the timezones, but i am sometimes around very lat, so that should be early morning at yours...

If you buy it from http://www.sendit.com in the UK it'll be cheaper (including shipping) than buying it from here when it comes out. My copy from sendit arrived this week and because i pre-ordered i only paid $9 delivered.
Having lots of fun online, by the way. I know people are having issues but I've run a lot of races so far without one problem on my end.

I asked at an EB's about a week and a half ago, Dave... and they'd never even heard of it. They did a little search on their pooter and couldn't tell me anything about it. Ain't heard of GPL, LFS, N2003 or F1C either. They HAD heard of RBR but wanted to start arguing that it was only available on console!
The one with the most outgoing personality, which incidentally was an act in overkill and enuff to make ya puke... then motioned me over to that ever-diminishing corner nook that is their PC gaming section, where he tried to convince me that if I was into motor racing then I should buy a copy of the best racing sim out there - V8 Supercars 2. I politely pointed out the layer of dust on the box, declined his offer, and guessed that V8 SC2 was the only sim he'd heard of - although how I don't know... he surely hadn't noticed it whilst going around the store dusting...
Oooh ya... and his name tag read "Manager"... !!!! Would U be impressed as much as I was ?
Sad, but true.
"Yes, we are the biggest games specialists chain in Australia and we know our products... and we can tell U wot's coming.... ehhh.... wot was it called again ?"
What ever happened to the days where employers actually trained their staff to do more than bullshit their way thru a sale, and operate the cash register ?

yup your right Taz.....rang my nearest EB store and they said "WHAT???"
never heard of it, I'm about to send an inquiring email (read mildly abusive ) to my m8 who gave me the info that it was being released today. (its possible that we have both been the brunt of an April Fools joke lol
9ra55 if you have access to a credit card (not yours of course ) then i highly recommend Sendit.com.....you'll getit a week after you order
