New trial options available for new members
I've created two new trials of iRacing that new members could use. Please let folks know who you think may be interested.

Re: New trial options available for new members
good stuff Tim. That is the way is should have always been
Would really suit someone who is about to go on leave (and are staying home) as they could race their way to class D, race in class D and still not have to pay

Yep, I agree - one month free intro is the way to get the game sold to the masses. Most who were going to pick up it of their own volition will already have done so, so now it's up to a big marketing push to get the extra numbers.
Great move! (Although I can't believe there are still people complaining about this on the forums...).

They'll argue about the color of the sky or the ground if you let them. That's who they are. Strangely lacking Australians complaining.Exar Kun wrote:Yep, I agree - one month free intro is the way to get the game sold to the masses. I know we're called 'whingers' by you Aussies, but I think American's actually have the Brits beaten on that one.

Well, I'd been putting it off and putting it off for months now.. saw this, and thought it was time to bite the bullet. Fantastic idea Tim, gives me a chance to work out what I think of the whole setup, and perhaps even learn a few things about it that I hadn't known before. See you all on the tracks again soon.
Now to work out how to not be so crappy at it.. *shift eyes*

Nice one Tim, this is perfect. I've got the Radical voucher code but I bought GTA IV at the same time and since that absorbs most of my free time at the moment I didn't think there was much point signing up to a month of iRacing as well.
So I'm going to complete that, buy a new wheel, get married then sign up

Fantastic. The skip is my favorite car so far, and is perfect for teaching newbies about car control.

Hmm this may well tempt me to stop mousing again and set up the wheel

Well without this offer I wouldn't be about to sign up for a year, so it was good while it lasted
Me waits for money to transfer to paypal...

Re: New trial options available for new members
I wonder what iRacing call abuse. As far as I'm concerned, 1 month free and I bet the majority of people who play it for the full month will buy it. I've only played iRacing yesterday evening and I'm impressed, even though I haven't even had a race or qual yet, and will most likely subscribe.
Hopefully you're not in trouble, Tim? Your post here as you can see was well received.

Re: New trial options available for new members
There were people using paypal accounts to sign up with fake names and then go wrecking. Sad thing is I think it came from people both outside and inside the service.

Ahh. I guess what's what happens when you oversimplify payment options?
