Theres still life in the old girl I'm waiting for this as the era of cars covered is great. Theres some classics in it. It should be some great fun online.
It's out now. Not sure what it's like as I've only installed it but I will try it shortly. It's available through the following links:

Re: 1967 Sports Car Mod Coming Soon
Looks good! I just fired up GPL again a few days ago. Loving it as much as ever.
I'm looking forward to this mod.

Done some laps at Reims in GT-40's and bloody hell....
MkI did 315khp
MkIIB did 336khp
MkIV did 345khp
MkIV handled the best but then again it had more advanced aero built into its overall design. I'm yet to test the rest but so far it's really bloody good. Well worth a GPL reinstall if you haven't got it on

Driven the other cars at Reims now and it was interesting. Top end isn't everything at Reim anyway. I found the Ferrari and the Chaparral 2D were faster in lap times, both around 200mph. The 2D was doing a 2:04.25 and was a second faster than the Ferrari and the GT40 MkIV. However the Chaparrals are only 3 speeds and the Ferrari was over a second faster at Kyalami. The Porsche handles great but is very slow with that little engine. Only 283kph at Reims.

Re: 1967 Sports Car Mod Out Now
I tried the Chaparrel 2D at Le Mans in a 5 lap race against the AI and found that the 3 speed box was a pain off the start and out of slow turns. The AI would gap me but I'll catch them just at the end of the straights only to have another corner. It's great fun all round but I wish a more modern game would do these cars, like rFactor or rFactor 2 and do a proper job of the mod like they've done for this.

Re: 1967 Sports Car Mod Out Now
I found out the Chaparral was a 3 speed auto back in the day. The Ferrari 330/P4 was under a second slower at Monza than my best lap in a 66 Ferrari, did a 1:33.58. It's been a while since I've played GPL but running an 830kg, 450hp, 200mph Ferrari at Dundrod was bloody awesome. Just those immediate road side objects flying past, no game does speed like GPL. Hit a tree at Le Mans at 200mph which was instant death. Trouble is it's 5 years too late but its great
