Very nice Quince, thanks.
I wonder if anyone other than the two of us is going to post in this thread?

Not so much Kombi, but a mate and I autocross his 72 Beetle with good results in the over 2 litre modified class.

Rots, can you wreck an MX-5 in the game and then post pictures of it in the MX-5 thread?

Bye Bye, VW Bus: The End of an Era in Brazil
Only Brazil still produces the classic 56-year-old VW camper van, but not for much longer. With a final special edition series of the beloved vehicle wrapping up before year's end, the race is on for those looking to buy used models.

Yeah, it's very sad.
When they first announced this late last year I was right in the middle of my restoration. I had just (a couple of weeks earlier) bought a couple of sliding windows for the back, they were $150 each, the day after this announcement they were listed on the same website for $450 each!

Not much happened since I posted
this thread, basically run out of money, not allowed to spend any more on the interior until I've paid off the cost of getting this far. We'll get there in the end.

Ok, I missed that thread!
Looks good. Pity about the money, don't you have a tree out the back with 100 bills growing off it?
Best wishes for the rest of the resto.

I just went to a wedding and this was their wedding car. Possibly the coolest thing I've ever seen.
