Petrol prices.
I stopped off at the garage today to fill up.
Brace yerselves....
129.9p/litre!!!!! (A$ 2.02)
fark
We've just been hit with an annual increase in fuel duty and a rise of 2.5% in VAT. That's added about 6p to a litre. It's not our fault the government cocked up the numbers and got us in debt but we have to bloody pay for it.

Filled up on Monday @ $1.29 l , could have been cheaper in other suburbs but was out of fuel and in Randwick . I bet you were pissed off with that price Kev , $2.02l = robbery
Edit / That was for E10 not high octane fuel , good enough for the work van .

Re: Petrol prices.
It's around $1.3x where I am. Funny how we're at parity with the US and we're still paying for rising fuel costs. It's absolute bullshit.

Re: Petrol prices.
It's getting crazy here atm... and with further increases to come no doubt. I would'nt mind so much if the alternatives were competitive but public transport is pretty dire as well..... and the bankers still get thier effin bonus. It's going to be a long hard haul out of this one for sureBig Kev wrote:I stopped off at the garage today to fill up.

And yet I still keep looking at RX-8s...
Our petrol station was still at 1.21 at the weekend so they absorbed the rise, but I forgot to check when I went past this morning.

Re: Petrol prices.
Another penny in duty going on around April which will probably add 4p at the pumps. Forget RX-8's Durbs.

Re: Petrol prices.
Yeah but because of the petrol prices, they are dropping so fast in value that you could easily end up better off buying one. If it costs an extra £1k in fuel a year but saves you £2k on its purchase price compared to rivals with equivalent spec and power, that's good economy
They are great handling cars - far more important than speed. You get used to speed.
Anyway, local servo is putting the prices up 1p every few days. It was 124.9 last night.
