easiest gaming-phone to live with?

Post by ysu »

Guys,
I'm thinking of getting one of these phone-like mini-computers for my better half, as her old phone is dying and she has mentioned that it'd be nice to play something on it sometimes.

Now, as you might have noticed I know feck all about these gadgets. So if something messes itself up, I won't be able to help her. Therefore I need something which just works without intervention. And I mean for years. And easy, simpe to use, and she can play stuff on it.

Is there something like this out there - (for somewhat lower price than a month's worth of our salary, hehe) ?

Thanks in advance!

oh, is this sort of thing available on pre-paid? We rarely go through more than $50 / 6mo on our mobile phones, so plans are not really good value.
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

I'm on an unlimited call plan for $55 a month plan with iPhone included. Shits over every other phone I've played with.

Hasn't malfunctioned once in 18 months. Everything is smooth, extremely easy to operate and playable. No reason to look elsewhere :)

Bit of a heads up... But the Galaxy tabs have just had a price drop at JBz... If you haggle you should be able to get the staff to sell you one out-right for about $320.. unlocked.

Dex, what are you talking about? Remember I'm a total n00b in the mobile-gadget business. What is the galaxy tab and why is it good for me?

Edit: is that an iPad spinoff?
Sorry, no iPads, need something usable on the road, so it must be phone-size.

Its like a small iPad that can make phone calls. It still fits in your pocket. It's also not as restricted as a lot of apple gear. Dont get me wrong, I love my iPhone, but this is a great option since its dropped so much to make way for the new galaxy, which is much bigger, and wont make calls.

No, its really nothing like an iPad.. its more like a larger screened phone.
