Prescott Hill Climb 2011 (pic heavy)
Lovely location in the Gloucestershire countryside
Bugatti Veyron Supersport. I've never seen a veyron before..... and 4 turned up at once
Morgan 3 wheeler.
Wing walkers for lunchtime entertainment
Merde! C'est les Rozzers!
The weave of the carbon fibre on the veyron was a sight to see
A bugatti brought in from Australia
Oops... Don't worry, it'll buff out!
ooooooOOOOOOOooooooooo Stopped JUST short

Some are heavily cropped. I took about 500! But they're the best ones I think. Any criticism welcomed

nice shots... but what is with the black 'Thing' at the front of some cars? timing?
Some play it safe on the merry-go-round, others go for the thrills of the roller-coaster.

Yeah timing bar. They all have it if you look close enough.
There were some French can can girls. I'll dig out the pic I took. There was only one around when I was in the pits.

Maybe longer shutter times in the panning ones is the only thing I would have liked. But that takes some practise.Big Kev wrote:Some are heavily cropped. I took about 500! But they're the best ones I think. Any criticism welcomed

Re: Prescott Hill Climb 2011 (pic heavy)
Any suggested numbers? I took most at 1/320. I tried a couple at 125 and 250 but they weren't very good but like you say I think it's practice more than anything.norbs wrote:Maybe longer shutter times in the panning ones is the only thing I would have liked. And this is 1/80th.

I have jagged the odd good shot at 1/60th, but I lose too many at that speed to make it worth while.
Edit : Found one at 1/40th.

Re: Prescott Hill Climb 2011 (pic heavy)
That's only about 20% of what I shot! I took plenty of crap shots But that's the thing with digi cameras, you can just snap away all day and then have a look at the best results later. Not like the old 35mm days when you take 28 pics, wait for them to be developed and then find they're all out of focus
