[AC] Friday Night Fun League. League racing dry run. 10th Mar 2017
Gents, this week will will be doing a test of the league racing format.
Track - http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads ... park.7222/
Both configs will be used.
Cars - Porsche and Maseratti GT4.
Format - 8:50PM (CBST) Qualifying 10min
9:00PM Race 15min + 1 lap Short course
9:25PM Race 15min + 1 lap (grid based on finishing order race 1) Long course
9:45PM FNF shenanigans.
Remember, this is a trial concept. And before 8:50Pm and after the 2nd race it is normal FNF stuff.
Server should be up on long config to practise on.

Disappointing lack of NJMP Lighting, and I'm only 50/50 for making it home on time anyway

I had a run on one of the servers earlier tonight. I absolutely hate the track and the Maserati, but I'm going to try and turn up. Maybe one or both or some fungal disease will grow on me.Dr. Pain wrote:Wow you mention league and it's a stampede to the door!

Well I'll be there wearing zee bells on!! (and nothing else!!)
I think the Maserati is a bit quicker than the porker but both are great.
I love the track from rfactor days (ahh nostalgia!!), sorry but its love love love from the Stan camp...

Nah, not usually. My issues were probably down to low grip levels and not a lot of familiarity with the car. I just wasn't feeling any sort of motivation to keep trying harder. Could have just been in a shit mood too.norbs wrote: You are a hard man to please.

Fair enough. I am sure you made a comment about the combo last week as well.
Just so as you , and others know, the low track grip is a conscious decision. We have found over the past how many years that a "wet" track makes for closer racing. It isnt that slippery as to make it impossible to drive, just slightly more tricky.
If we do end up doing a league, we intend to mix the races up, and there will be an enduro event at some point (probably 40 min race). Probably starting with low grip but designed to be 100% for the last bit of the race.

That almost tops any of the muppet stories, my eyes, ears and brain hurt watching that.
Good job
