Re: Cricket, cricket, cricket.....
Am I the only one who thought the pitch preparation was poor for the entire series?
Rain played a part but they were all far too spicy. A balanced contest should be the aim but even batting time I cant think of a time anyone ever looked in. Both teams have stronger bowling than batting but it diminished the spectacle a lot.
Same thing in South Africa recently to.

Whilst I loved the fact that ball dominated bat, I agree is was a bit too much.
But I like the batsmen to be tested. Those BS days of 350 on the first day were ridiculous.

Agreed, the day 2 or 3 wicket was probably the right day 1 pitch.

Warney was my era for cricket. Pretty shocked to be honest. I think norbs is right that people will think the worst as it was a hearty in Thailand.

There's gotta be something going on there. Normal fit blokes don't often die from heart attacks. It's probably not right to speculate but my first thought was he would have been coked to the eyeballs.

I hope you are wrong woodsy but we'll probably never know.
I'm a bit stunned. He was the greatest cricketer I've ever seen. He wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed but, to me, he represented the pinnacle of test cricket. The way he created wickets over the course of a few overs.
Bowl Shane!

Shellshocked... He was farken great.
Rod I dunno he was a hard partier and smoked like a chimney. Seems right in the heart attack bracket to me.

What is it with past Aussie cricket heroes dying at the moment...
