I know partly what you're currently going through as my mum had a stroke 3 weeks ago (she's doing ok and everything is coming back, she's 80% back to normal and improving every day) but these things make you realise your family and friends are not immortal.
If you go, who is going to give us shite photoshop puns!
I hope if you need a carer to feed you, it's Reece... with a spoon

Yes, it is an emotional time on both sides. Make sure you do the rehab, it seems a bit lame but the idea is to drive the message well & truly in.w00dsy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 26, 2022 6:18 pm Thanks for the love gents. I've had a lot of people contact me to send their best wishes and it's been very humbling. I appreciate it a lot. Fortunately I seem to have gotten lucky and not damaged my heart at all. So now that the stent is in and I have the right medications it's up to me to change my unhealthy ways and try and get a few more years under my belt. For a long time I've not cared about life and what damage my unhealthy habits have done, but it seems to have flicked a switch in me and made me determined to drop a bunch of weight, be more active and enjoy life. I never want to go through that pain again, and seeing my families worry at the thought of losing me has been a real eye opener. They were all strong around me the day it happened but they admitted that they all broke down that night. I can't put them through that again.
Good one Woodsy - that's how I felt after getting on some medication to open my arteries. Felt I had been running down gradually.
