you got a setup

the rookie cars are fixed setups, its not until you get into the advanced rookie cars that you can tweak.wobblysauce wrote:you got a setup

I would not stress to much Peptis, It can take a while to get your head around it. after a few races all of a sudden you'll be on it. At this point in your iCareer, it's not about being fast anyway, it's about being consistent & safe. The speed will come with time.Peptis wrote:Just had my first race with Santa and nutty. I came last by a fair way
Is there any way to watch a fast person's replay? I can't figure what I'm doing wrong.

ok rookie it is .. your tip is to go slow till you get used of it then slowly build your speed

Re: arseRacing friends list/waiting list
Thanks mate, I think you're right. I just had my second race and it was much more enjoyable. I just took it a bit easier and finished mid-pack (in a field of people who were a couple of seconds quicker than me).Hz-Lab wrote:I would not stress to much Peptis, It can take a while to get your head around it. after a few races all of a sudden you'll be on it. Re: arseRacing friends list/waiting list
ok, there are a couple of ways you can search for them, at the top right hand corner there is a little search box, type the name in there and click the magnifying glass, thats the 1st way. the other way, is to go to myRacing section, then go to myRacers, and there is a search tool there too.
once you have found them, hover the mouse over their helmet, a little box will pop up of which "add friend" will be one of the options.

Thanks. I was clicking and hovering over the name, I didn't realise the helmet did anything.

Re: arseRacing friends list/waiting list
Could we, - those on the list - check if our names are correct please?
I've tried to add the list again, and I could not find 4 or 5 there, including Glen and Grass & Sin and I know that Scottie is Scott U'ren, not Scottie U'ren ...

Sin & Grass are not registered yet, they have an invite, but are yet to sign up. It's been stated before. It's possible the others are the same. And with Scottie, you will need to search for "Scott" and then pick him out the list, as it seems the search function does not like apostrophes.

Yeah that's certainly 'tip of the day'... It's best with all these penalties to drive it like you would in real life. Learn the track, THEN get up to speed. I have a lot of simracing habits that iRacing has totally destroyed... lolwobblysauce wrote:ok rookie it is .. your tip is to go slow till you get used of it then slowly build your speed

Anyone else have to keep referring to the list, most of the time I have to check here after a race to see if I was racing anyone I know.
Maybe I just got a shocking memory.

Re: arseRacing friends list/waiting list
My problem is that, having used my real name all the time, lots of people seem to know who I am and get chatty online but I've got NFI who they are because I don't recognise the name. I probably end up looking like a rude bastard 1/2 the time for not showing a reciprocal level of familiatiry

I'm starting to learn names, but I am the same Shonky, I mean no offense if I don't recognise the name. Just not used to real names.

good idea with so many new names to match
what about making a ARSE skin (certain pattern and 3 colors) would be a bit easier to remember
