Tell me about it. I think it's been leaking memory all day and that caused it to crash. I restarted the java server app, but it wouldn't start. So I've just restarted the PC. Should be up and running again.

Update: I found that when the Minecraft server was crashing it was also killing my network interface. So I've now updated the drivers to the latest on the Realtek website (7.031) and we'll see how it goes.

I'd bet the server app would have less problems if it was coded in something other than Java. :(

I got started by watching a couple of intro type you tubes and mine craft wiki helped me understand what did what. I'll see if i can find the ones I watched

Just a heads up, the server will be going down at some point today for upgrades and maintenance. I'll post just before I take it down and again once it's back online.

It's going to cost you 10-odd Euro, norbs. You'll need to register / log in.

Download from here.

Fire it up.

Then select multiplayer, type in the address in the first post and you'll spawn in to ARSE-town.

Upgrade Details (for those who like stats)...
  • CPU Upgrade (3GHz Quad Core, Athlon II X4 640)
  • RAM Upgrade (8GB DDRII)
  • Installed dedicated gigabit network card
  • Added 1 x 80mm fan (hidden in front of the 2nd HDD cage, the other bay already had one)
  • Cleaned out dust
