Not sure it'll be that long but I don't think we'll be back to everything being open and it's fine to do social stuff again in that time.

Yep that's the big danger. You let everyone go back, someone's still got the virus and doesn't know it yet, and the whole thing starts again. The only safe people would be those who've already had it.
