I should warn you that some of our guys tend to just do lots of practice laps and not many races, but with more in the server it might encourage them to race more :)
when is race night/time...
would love to join in with anybody and maybe find a slowpoke i can race against but gettint the free time is sometimes an issue...
(wednesday nights in particular).

currently racing in a small league that is full of aliens and becoming more and more discouraged each time they thrash me...
(these days i consider finishing on the lead lap as a personal win)
Those Glands of Bartholin I bless, the sweet wild honey they express,
the exquisite faint scent they bring, of mountain flowers in early spring.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. Our league race is also on Wednesday and that will still be for members only, so this will just be for practice nights. We often have 10-15 in there on Sunday and Tuesday night (Monday night has a '79 league atm), but some guys are in there nearly every night.

I'll set the password on our V8 server to "kickarse" and we'll see how it goes :)

EDIT: forgot about our skin packs which you will need to be able to race due to the way they've done them :( We could switch to a stock install if that will be a problem.

You can drive on the server in practice etc, but you can't race. I'll see about getting a server up that doesn't require them :)

I wish they'd get the skins working properly like LFS.

I don't see this happening anytime soon, the problem is the skin files are quite large to download, disregard the bandwidth usage.............just imagine how huge the rF install would become if we downloaded 2048*2048 dds skins for all the different mods whenever we entered a server :melt:

Doesn't LFS download a low-res version though? If you want high-res you still have to download it manually don't you?

Anyway, the server is now running without the skin pack so everyone should be able join without any problems :)
