Re: ARSE GT5 League
Too sleazy then. Sorry for the confusion dude.
For saving the replays you need to check the results after the race (the podium button) then the replay save button is there.

We don't have to already own an Evo X correct? Haven't done any online stuff yet.

Re: ARSE GT5 League
There is an online list of cars usable by default when you race online. im 99% sure the Evo X is in that list.

Re: ARSE GT5 League
so that means it has to be that one? No modified cars, right? (if we use our own, it's bound to be modded)KNAPPO wrote:There is an online list of cars usable by default when you race online. im 99% sure the Evo X is in that list.

Re: ARSE GT5 League
If its from the default online list that everyone can already access you cant mod it OR tune/set it up (suspension, gearbox ect)
You can change the rubber type tho so behave if Nutty wants us to stick to road rubber.

I reckon comfort soft would be awesome. Should be able to get some decent sliding happening if pushing to hard.nutty wrote:I could just allow us to use race rubber then? I dont care..

Re: ARSE GT5 League
Well that was teriffic fun tonight Righty, Rots & Madcap.
Super close racing in that lancer so tomorrow night looks to be a cracker.
The comfort soft tyres all round hold up really well and the car moves around a bit which is really fun. Raw pace dosnt mean much here as passing is really tricky

Re: ARSE GT5 League
Yeah that was surprisingly fun. I managed a 1:05:7x with the thumb twiddlers, so I might have to bust out the wheel to see if I can match Knappo. What was is it, 1:04:5x?

Re: ARSE GT5 League
Best I could do with the PS3 controller was a 1:06.1xx but it was a hell of a lot of fun!
I recommend using Comfort Soft front and Comfort Hard rear.

Re: ARSE GT5 League
So it is fairly stable online? I should be connected within a few days, fingers crossed.
Buying a shit load of steel tubing this afternoon, building a half-cage as my cockpit.
Running my connection through internode, adsl - fast as adsl 2 isn't available at my exchange yet.

Re: ARSE GT5 League
I'm only on a Internode 1500/512 connection, my PS3 is connected via wireless network and my wife is usually on facebook when I race, yet so far it seams fairly stable online.

Re: ARSE GT5 League
Just a thought guys.
I think if we do 10 odd mins prac before we start a race the server will position everyone in the finishing order from the prac times. I have been thinking of ways to get around the lack of qualy in GT5 and i think this might be a solution.

EDIT:
Ooo, if i remember correctly. If you pit during prac and escape to the lobby you loose your time on the totem pole.

Re: ARSE GT5 League
There is in game chat available in the lobby and whilst driving, but typing a message with the PS3 and no keypboard is painful and not recommended when on track unless its practice.
Voice chat is the best option with either a bluetooth headset or USB headset. From what I'm told, most phone bluetooth headsets should work with the PS3.
