I was playing a lot of GPL when I was 20 so I would definitely have been just as good*

Not sure there's much point in a whole new topic for the next race as all the info is the same (pretty much)

8 race season as it stands. You'd think if they had 2 really bad rounds, they would struggle.

They will get 12 races.. Even if that means another 4 races at Red Bull ring. I believe that they need 12 to satisfy contracts.

The F1 people have said there will almost certainly be more races added to the calendar shortly but it's a good point - a short season means a DNF is really costly.

They only need 8 races for it to be a valid championship.
Trouble is the fear of a second wave. If the countries they have earmarked start getting more cases it could mean races drop like flies again. Can't see them going anywhere near the US or Brazil any time soon.

Wasn't there talk of bringing back the rule where your worst result doesn't count? I suppose they can't do that after the season's started though.

I hope it rains this weekend since they plan on bringing the same tyre compounds as last weekend.
I think they need something different on these back to back at the same track weekends so the teams are kept on their toes.

Lando picked up a 3 place grid penalty for passing cars whilst yellow flags were out.

Lando also has a chest issue & they can't work out what is causing the pain.

Mega lap from Lewis. To be 1.2 seconds quicker than anyone else and 1.5 quicker than your teammate over such a short lap is astonishing.

I'll say. been watching it whilst working and I had to stop and check that I saw the right thing.
George Russel seems like he might be a bit better than I expected too.

Make no mistake, Russell is the new Hamilton. Blindingly quick, no mistakes, and overtakes are done with minimum fuss. He smashed Norris and Albon in F3 but somehow ended up in the worst car out if the 3 of them. Hell be a factory Merc driver as soon as Bottas or Lewis leave.

"Get in there Lewis"... WTF is that about?
Mega lap but it would have been interesting to see what Verstappen could've done if he didn't half spin. He was damn lucky to not get any damage from it too.
And agree on Russell, he has been fantastic so far this year, I think he also gained a lot of confidence winning the virtual championship during lock-down. Knowing he can beat them in "equal" equipment". Yes I know it is sim-racing but we also know it correlates to & from the real world.

When was the last time that team had both cars out in 7 laps?

Ferrari was Singapore a couple of years ago. 2016 maybe? Both Haas cars lost wheels at the Aussie GP as well.
