Opened in 1964, Phoenix Raceway was built with one thing in mind: becoming the home for open-wheel racing in the western half of the United States. It quickly accomplished that, hosting IndyCar races for more than 40 consecutive years and later adding the Copper World Classic for Silver Crown and midget cars in 1977. From there, it was only a matter of time until NASCAR brought the Cup Series there for the first time in 1988; Alan Kulwicki’s first career win came in that race, and he celebrated with the reverse “Polish Victory Lap” that many drivers still utilize today. The track also hosted the first-ever NASCAR Truck Series event in 1995. Through its history, Phoenix’s one-mile oval has always been defined by its asymmetrical turns and dogleg, which was implemented in part because of the natural terrain of the area. With different progressive banking at each end of the track as well, Phoenix is often a favorite track of drivers for the challenges that they face in setting up their cars and maximizing their performance. Although its backstretch dogleg already made it one of the most unique ovals in America, the track’s latest renovation, which was completed in October 2018, made it even more unique. The start-finish line was moved between the former Turn 2 and the dogleg, fundamentally changing how drivers would approach each lap, while the former frontstretch grandstand was removed in favor of expanding seating closer to the new start-finish line. The shift also led to a reconfiguration of pit road. This layout made its NASCAR Cup Series debut in November 2018, and began hosting NASCAR’s championship weekend with the 2020 season.
Add this brand new version of Phoenix Raceway to your digital landscape from the iRacing Store here: https://members.iracing.com/membersite/ ... ?trkid=418

Full 2022 Season 1 Release details are below.

iRACING UI:
--------------------------------------------------------------

General
iRacing UI performance has been improved while the Simulator is busy loading.

AI Racing
Fixed an issue where the [Legacy] Ferrari 488 GT3 was restricted from being used in AI Racing due to a mismatch in the cars that are added as the default class of the vehicle.
Fixed an issue where if an AI Opponent’s preferred number was set to 64, and you did not have a preferred number set, in the Results screen, your results would be swapped with the AI Driver.

Paint Shop
Several new racing suit patterns have been added!
Several older sponsors have been replaced with new sponsors!

League Results
Resolved an issue in League Results where championship and aggregate season points were not being displayed for Open or Lone Qualifying subsessions in a League Race Session.

AI Opponent Rosters
Fixed an issue where attempting to sort AI Opponents by a column required two clicks instead of one.

Protests
Fixed an issue where selecting a violation to protest could cause an error preventing the user from moving forward in the protest process.

SIMULATION:
--------------------------------------------------------------

Race Control
Time penalties that exceed a reasonable lap time are now administered in the form of lap penalties.
The Entries tab features a new “F” (for Flag) column between the car number and the participant name where flag icons will be shown for each team. A checkered flag, or a black flag with a white X icon (disqualified), indicate if the driver or team is finished with the current Session for any reason, such as they've actually taken the checkered flag, they've been disqualified, or if during a Qualify Session they've used the new “Ready To Race” button.
The Race Control flag icons have been updated.

Qualify Sessions
A new feature has been added that allows drivers or teams to indicate, via a “Ready To Race” button, that they or their team has finished with, or does not intend to participate in, the Qualify Session.
- - This can be used to avoid the wait for a Qualify Session's time limit to expire if everyone either finishes all their allowed laps in a lap-limited Qualify Session, or uses this button to indicate that they will not Qualify, or have finished their Qualify attempts.
- - Lap-limited Qualify Sessions embedded within scheduled iRacing events now monitor the session for on-track activity. If no connected participants are on the track and driving, and no driver is connected that has either recently finished loading into the session or is still loading, a warning message will be shown indicating that the Qualify Session will be ended early if no one starts driving. Should anyone start driving, or a driver connects to the session, the warning will be withdrawn and Qualify Session will continue.
- - In Hosted Sessions with embedded Qualify Sessions, the session host (or a designated admin) can monitor the new “F” column on the Entries tab. If they see checkered flags/disqualified black flags for everyone, and they know that no additional drivers are expected in the session, they can use the “!advance” admin command to shorten the Qualify session.

Hosted Racing
Race Admins are now allowed to enable telemetry even when it is set to be disabled for the server.

Team Racing
Fixed a rare issue where if a team member is in the Garage making changes to the team's car setup, and that user gets disconnected, the server did not fully process their disconnection. This left the team unable to drive the car until someone on the team entered the garage and claimed the ability to edit the setup.

Heat Racing
Fixed a rare Simulator crash that could occur during a session transition for a Heat event including an excess of 32 sessions.

AI Racing
AI Drivers can now race using the following additional vehicles:
- - Dallara IR18
- - Honda Civic Type R
- - Hyundai Elantra CN7
AI Drivers can now race at the following additional track configurations:
- - Charlotte Motor Speedway - Roval
- - Charlotte Motor Speedway - Roval - 2018
- - Charlotte Motor Speedway - Roval Long
- - Charlotte Motor Speedway - Legends RC Oval Long
- - Charlotte Motor Speedway - Legends RC Oval Medium
- - Charlotte Motor Speedway - Legends RC Oval Short
- - Homestead Miami Speedway - Indy Oval
- - Indianapolis Motor Speedway - Oval
- - Indianapolis Motor Speedway - IndyCar Oval
- - Knockhill Racing Circuit - International
- - Knockhill Racing Circuit - International Reverse
- - Knockhill Racing Circuit - National
- - Knockhill Racing Circuit - National Reverse
- - Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway - Oval
- - Watkins Glen International - Cup
- - Watkins Glen International - Boot
- - Watkins Glen International - Classic Boot
- - Watkins Glen International - Classic
- - World Wide Technology Raceway - Oval
AI Drivers have improved their driving skills with the following vehicles:
- - Audi RS 3 LMS
- - SCCA Spec Racer Ford
AI Drivers have improved their racing skills at the following track configurations:
- - Auto Club Speedway - Oval
- - Chicagoland Speedway
- - Hickory Motor Speedway
- - Iowa Speedway - Oval
- - Kentucky Speedway - Oval
- - Phoenix Raceway
- - Sebring International Raceway - Club
We are happy to report that most AI Drivers have graduated from the 2022 Season 1 curriculum! Those that did not were decompiled. Their grueling and expansive education included the following classes, readings, seminars, and special training:
- - The Zen of Pit Lane
- - Barney’s Master Class in Racing Flag Identification
- - Breaking the Curve: Pushing your Skill Beyond 125
- - Advanced Seminar in Gear Stacking
- - 1001 Fender Bender Simulations
- - Parade Float Navigation - Silver Class
- - Superspeedway Superstrategies
- - Professor Kaemmer’s Thermodynamics of Rubber
- - Going Green: Pro Tips for when Cautions End
- - BRAKES the Musical
- - Tactical Spacing and Lines for Oval Offensives
- - Jaime Regan’s Annotated and Illustrated Encyclopedia of Pit Entries - Updated for 2022
- - PHY-303: Aerodynamics and Drafting for Hard Surfaced Vehicles
- - Makin’ Moves ‘Round Ovals
- - Dealing with What’s Down the Road Later, and Other Procrastination Success Stories
- - The Dichotomy of Living on the High Lines and Low Lines
- - Psychology Lab 221: Detecting Hazards
- - Practical Applications from Wolfgang Kramer’s Downforce
An assortment of AI Driver behaviors have received special reprimand, and should no longer occur:
- - AI Drivers will no longer leave their pit stall after the checkered flag has been thrown.
- - AI Drivers who were limping back to the pits will no longer suddenly cut in front of other drivers.
- - AI Drivers will no longer have an incorrect fuel level during Qualify Sessions.
- - AI Drivers will no longer get lost in the digital shadow realm between session transitions and never re-materialize in the next session type. We don’t know where they went, but we hope they are safe and happy.

Test Drive
When loading into some tracks for a solo Test Drive Session, your car may now begin in a special Test Drive stall location. For some tracks, these stalls are located inside paddocks or garages, so you can drive out like the pros.
- - We have plans to expand the variety of tracks that use these new Test Drive stalls in the future.

Pit Lane
Some pit speed limits have been adjusted to 80 kph / 50 mph. This change affects the following track configurations:
- - Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari - Grand Prix
- - Autódromo José Carlos Pace - Grand Prix
- - Autodromo Nazionale Monza - Grand Prix
- - Circuit of the Americas - Grand Prix
- - Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
- - Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps - Grand Prix Pits
- - Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg - Grand Prix
- - Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg - Outer
- - Hungaroring Circuit
- - Nürburgring Grand-Prix-Strecke - Grand Prix
- - Red Bull Ring - Grand Prix
- - Silverstone Circuit - Grand Prix
- - Suzuka International Racing Course - Grand Prix

Pit Stop
Fixed an issue where engine temperatures and friction torque were not being reset until after repairs were complete, which could cause the engine to immediately blow again after repairs were done but before temperatures were reset.

New Damage Model
The mesh collision system has been updated to prevent colliding objects from stiffening up relative to their collision depth between each other. This was causing ground objects and wall objects to act more dense than intended, and could cause snagging or an excessively strong rebounding effect.
Fixed an issue where the pit crew could fail to jack-up a vehicle when using the New Damage Model.
Tires for vehicles using the new damage model should visually adjust to banked corners better.

Rendering
The maximum amount of darkness that can be applied by shadows has been adjusted.
- - This should prevent unrealistically dark shadows from overlapping shadow areas and from shadows cast at night.
Vehicle carbon fiber textures have been updated to work better with PBR shaders.
Fixed an issue where environment specular maps could sometimes not appear at night tracks.
Fixed an issue where environment specular maps carried the wrong intensity when transitioning from night to day or day to night.
Fixed an issue where jersey barriers could show flickering shadows depending on the camera angle.

Visual Effects
A tire rubber scuffing shader visual effect has been added to all cars. This effect is tracked locally across the width of the tire and will dull the “new tire” sheen through use. As tires continue to run on the track, highly cambered tires will appear rough in areas that touch the racing surface and remain shiny in areas that are raised.
Backfire ignition cut logic has been improved for a large variety of vehicles.
Tire smoke effects have been adjusted slightly.
Wing vortices may now appear when the conditions are right. This includes very high speeds and very high humidity. How long can you get them to stay?

Animation
Driver models that are using the animation blending system have been updated to ensure they display the correct model version based on camera distance whenever the camera is inside the cockpit. This change affects the following vehicles:
- - Audi R8 LMS
- - Ferrari 488 GTE
- - Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020
- - Ford GT GT2/GT3
- - Indy Pro 2000 PM-18
- - Lucas Oil Off Road Pro 2 Lite
- - Lucas Oil Off Road Pro Trucks (ALL)
- - Porsche 911 R GT3
- - Radical SR8
- - SCCA Spec Racer Ford
- - Street Stock
- - [Legacy] Dallara DW12
- - [Legacy] Ferrari 488 GT3
- - [Legacy] Indycar Dallara - 2009

Audio
The Low Frequency Emission (LFE) Effect has been updated. A more aggressive low-pass filter is now deployed to remove high frequency sounds from the game audio channel.
- - Also, a new setting has been added to the [BassShaker] section of the “app.ini” file, “freqGameLowpass_Hz=” that allows you to fine tune the low pass filter if needed. The default value is 200.
Additional variance and diversity has been added to road debris sounds.

Spotter
The spotter calls for fuel estimates have been recalculated and are dramatically improved. The spotter uses the more accurate laps remaining estimate seen in the Fuel black box.
Spotter messages for damaged and broken front and rear wings, and bent suspension have been added.
- - This is currently only enabled for all winged open-wheel cars.
New Italian spotter calls have been added for the Marco Arcidiacono spotter pack.
The Italian Renzo A. Olivieri spotter pack has been updated with additional phrases.

User Interface

The Simulator UI now allows a zoom of up to 300% to better support very high resolution displays.
In the Garage, appropriate units are now displayed in dropdown menus instead of only values.

Monitor Configuration
Preliminary support for curved monitors has been added. The FOV calculator now works for them, along with improved 3-screen support. Also a new render-per-view mode has been added which requests that a single curved screen (such as an ultrawide) be subdivided into three views, each rendered with individual projections. The new options for specifying the monitor types, selecting the 3-screen modes, and the FOV calculator have all been moved off from the main Graphics Options screen and onto a sub-dialog box accessible from that screen.

Controls

An option to use a second sequential control to go with the second throttle/brake/clutch controls has been added. This will make it easier to switch back and forth between paddle shifters and a sequential stick as well as making it easier to accommodate drivers with adaptive needs.
Fixed an issue that could cause pedals to vibrate incorrectly after a tire has been knocked off their car.

Force Feedback
The pedal and wheel rim vibration algorithms have been tweaked to better match the behavior of the Xbox controller.

Options
Fixed an issue where open wheel cars were leaving the steering wheel display screen behind when the “disable steering wheel” option was enabled.
Fixed a grammar error in the External Display Use language.

Telemetry

Variables have been added for “SessionJokerLapsRemain” and “SessionOnJokerLap” values.
New telemetry session strings, “ClubID” and “DivisionID”, have been added to match existing “ClubName” and “DivisionName” strings.

Cameras
The camera tool zoom slider is now inverted to match the behavior of the field of view slider.
Damping on camera zoom is now also disabled while editing the zoom value.

iRacing SDK
The system now properly detects and reports the current driver to the session string when watching a Replay of a multi-driver Session. Previously, only the first driver to join would be reported as being in the car.

Mercedes-AMG F1 W12 E Performance
NEW CAR!
The Mercedes-AMG F1 W12 E Performance is now available for purchase and use on iRacing!
- - The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team has been the most dominant race team in the world over much of the past decade, winning seven World Driver’s and World Constructor’s Championships in a row from 2014-2020 thanks to the combined efforts of Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, Valtteri Bottas, and George Russell. For the 2021 season, the last before sweeping revisions to the competition formula, the team introduced the F1 W12 E Performance as its next heir to the throne. Powered by a 1.6-liter V6 hybrid capable of producing over 1,000 horsepower, the car was an evolution of the dominant W11 that had won all but four races the previous year. The W12 won with Hamilton on its debut in Bahrain and took victories in three of its first four starts, while also leading Hamilton to his milestone 100th career Grand Prix victory in a compelling Russian Grand Prix that saw rain fall in the race’s closing laps.

The 1.267-mile road course was formed by connecting service roads to a mineral railway that had been out of service for more than 20 years, and has been a regular host of both professional and amateur British and Scottish racing events ever since its opening in 1974. Knockhill packs a big punch in a small space, not only for its numerous track layouts, but also for being the United Kingdom’s first track to gain certification to run in both directions in the modern era in 2012. Between its International and National layouts, a half-mile tri-oval, and an interior section utilized for rallycross and supermoto racing, its utility for just about any type of racing imaginable has been proven time and again. The International layout, however, is the best known, as it’s used for top-tier events like the British Touring Car and Superbike Championships. Knockhill features nine corners and over 120 feet of elevation changes on its main layout, with lengthy straightaways both leading into and out of the final corner, known as Taylor’s hairpin. Aside from racing, demonstration runs in Formula 1 cars and driving experiences ranging from the world’s top supercars to entry-level cars for junior drivers are mainstays of the track’s annual program.

Watkins Glen International
NEW FULLY UPDATED TRACK!
- - Watkins Glen International has been remodeled from the ground up, using current laser scan date and photo reference. This update includes all new PBR materials and graphical updates for the track and many surrounding objects.
Watkins Glen International includes four track configs: Cup, Boot, Classic Boot, and Classic.
- - Just south of Seneca Lake, amidst the rolling vineyards and woodlands in Upstate New York's Finger Lakes region, sits a shrine of American motorsport. Watkins Glen International is more than just a racetrack. It is the birthplace of post-war road racing in North America, a worthy test of some of the best drivers to ever sit in a racecar. Today, The Glen hosts the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series, as well as a six-hour crown jewel of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Sports Car Club of America professional and amateur racing, ARCA Menards Series, and a major vintage race meet. It has also been home to major concerts and other festivals. Over the years The Glen has been lengthened once and continually upgraded. Four different configurations of the track are available to iRacing members, and a lap around today's Grand Prix circuit still incorporates much of the original layout. The first turn is known as "The 90," a right-hander and a good place to pass. Then it's up toward "The Esses," a series of three fast, sweeping apexes leading onto the back straight. The cars reach their top speed here, before hard braking for the bus stop at the end of the straight. Here, the track deviates from its original circuit for "The Boot," a hammerhead-shaped up-and-downhill section of track added in 1971. Turn 9, where The Boot rejoins the original circuit, is another fairly quick lefthander, tricky because it's off camber, followed by the even quicker Turn 10, an almost flat-out left-hander. The last corner (Turn 11) is another fast right-hander that leads out onto the front straight. Racing first came to The Glen in 1948 in the form of the Watkins Glen Grand Prix, an SCCA-sanctioned event that ran on a more than six mile course over the back roads of the town. The success of that event eventually led to the construction of a permanent track, the resulting product a little more than a third in length of the original street course. In 1957, the track hosted its first race, a NASCAR Grand National Series event won by Buck Baker over Fireball Roberts. The following year, Formula Libre showed up, and, not long after that, Watkins Glen hit the big time. In 1961, Formula 1 came to the little town by the lake, bringing with it some of the most legendary names in motor sports. For the next two decades, the home of the United States Grand Prix was Watkins Glen. The early eighties saw some tough times for The Glen: F1 held its last race there in 1980, and it was closed to all but spectator-free SCCA meets for two years, but the track would recover soon enough under new ownership. In 1986, NASCAR's top series returned to The Glen, and with it, a whole new renaissance for the track began. A longtime mainstay of the iRacing track library, Watkins Glen received an all-new scan and updates in time for 2022 Season 1. All four of its previous layouts have been fully updated with new surface data and artwork, giving one of America’s most popular road courses a fresh new look on the service.
This 2021 version completely replaces the previous version.
- - The previous version has been retired with this deployment - only the 2021 version is now available.
- - All users who owned the previous version have been granted ownership of the 2021 version for free!

Theres also a new podcast out which includes somone from Merc F1, Highlights from reddit are cool

Think I caught the basics.

Merc (and everything else) pending final approval

New TCRs (and update to the Audi physics)

Knockhill has 5 configs including RX (presumably the other 4 are both directions of the full and trioval).

Watkins Glen rescan is a free update for those who own it.

4 new Hockenheim configs from the Porsche Experience Center, time attack only.

Mercedes will have new damage model from the start.

Indycar AI for both road and oval.

Indianapolis AI, some other ovals

Mercedes apparently has an internal racing league where they find out the car and track right before the server opens.

Mercedes' initial interest was to help improve iR's modeling as many of their drivers are members. They felt there was some "low-hanging fruit" to be improved.

Track limit changes were apparently pushed by Merc, not wanting their drivers to have to learn different lines for their simracing hobby compared to what they would actually be using in real races.

The real car has over 30,000 channels of data they collect.

James talks about not needing the setup to be on the edge with oversteer, as that is unrealistic. Says often understeer if anything.

Bono Huis is is the go-to to find unrealistic aspects that can be exploited.

Barcelona T3 and T9 are flat, Spa Pouhon is flat.

Car is expected to be very approachable up to the last second of pace, then very difficult to find the last tenths. (Isn't that most cars though?)

Still some things Merc wants to work on with iRacing regarding F1 tires, but it's incredibly close.

W13 SERIES:

Shiny new shakedown (Merc)

TCR

Rookie Legends (kind of confused why not just fixed set legends)

Ridiculousness (Vee, Radical, HPD)

The 87 winter series will continue during W13

Tin top tussle (Multiclass superspeedway)

ID crisis (GT cars on short tracks)

Deutsche Drifters (991/992, presumably the new experience center?)

iRacing Acquires Orontes Games – Developer of Racing Game DRAG and Proprietary Game Engine
iRacing Expands Portfolio and Enhances Development Capabilities

Chelmsford, MA – December 22, 2021 – iRacing and Orontes Games announced the acquisition today. Founded by Christian and Thorsten Folkers in 2016, Orontes Games released an Early Access version of their game DRAG in 2020, on the digital game distribution site Steam. Built upon their proprietary game engine, this online racing game features high fidelity next-generation graphics and advanced vehicle physics.

With lead developers Christian Folkers and Thorsten Folkers joining the iRacing team, iRacing adds even more depth to its overall team. Both Christian and Thorsten will continue to work on their game engine, develop additional games, as well as bring their expertise and technology to iRacing. iRacing will also be helping the Folkers, who are based in Germany, build a larger technology team.

“We have been on the lookout for opportunities to strategically expand our capabilities and reach. With the release of DRAG, we saw a team with tremendous potential to help. From our first conversations we have been extremely impressed with Christian and Thorsten”, said Tony Gardner, president of iRacing. “They are extremely creative and highly skilled developers, and we are excited to have them join our talented team here at iRacing. Their addition will allow us to further enhance iRacing and position us to potentially expand our offerings in the future.”

“We are extremely excited to be joining iRacing – the proven leader in the simulated racing space”, added Christian Folkers. “iRacing and Orontes Games share many of the same development philosophies so this is a natural fit for both of us. We remain passionate about DRAG and plan to continue development and we look forward to working with the entire iRacing team as we push the company to the next level.”

Over the past two years, iRacing has increased its headcount significantly allowing for quicker and broader development of their product, also called iRacing – for both content and features. Gardner continued, “Our existing team will stay 100% focused on making iRacing an even better racing simulation/game, in fact, we are looking to add even more resources focused on the iRacing product. However, having a larger team to take advantage of business synergies, technologies, shared assets and skills will make the products better and the overall company stronger. This acquisition further demonstrates our commitment to keeping iRacing the leading motorsport software company on the market.”

Interesting acquisition, sounds like more of a talent acquisition vs a engine/game perspective.. I personally hadn't even heard of DRAG.

And now another aquisition of Monster Games!!!
iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations announced today the acquisition of Monster Games, Inc. The Minnesota-based game development studio has a long history of racing game development, including the NASCAR Heat franchise and more recently Tony Stewart’s Sprint Car Racing game. The acquisition will bring another level of expertise under the iRacing roof, and further the company’s ability to bring the highest quality racing games to the broader market, including the console space.

This acquisition along with the previously announced Orontes Games purchase are standalone development studios and projects. The iRacing development team will remain 100% focused on continuing to develop the core product, iRacing. The iRacing platform is regarded as the most realistic and leading PC-based racing simulation on the market and features multiple forms of racing including – NASCAR, Dirt Oval, sports cars, open-wheel single-seaters, prototypes, off-road trucks and rallycross. In addition to its laser scanned tracks and officially licensed vehicles, iRacing provides a one-stop shop for sim racers and race gamers – fostering a racing community with official races, multiple racing licenses and matchmaking, private leagues and more.

President and owner of MGI, Rich Garcia, will join the iRacing development team and be reunited with iRacing CEO & CTO Dave Kaemmer, who worked together at Kaemmer’s former company, Papyrus Racing Games, where Garcia was instrumental in the early years of Papyrus in building the foundation for what iRacing has become today.

Garcia and his team will continue development on their currently unannounced project, with the aim to release the title later in 2022. Follow-up titles from MGI will be developed using technology and content from the shared resources of all three development studios – iRacing announced last month the acquisition of Orontes Games, see announcement here.

“We are really pleased to be able to share this news, it’s been in the works for some time now,” said iRacing president Tony Gardner. “Rich and his team are a proven studio with unique skills that will really add to our already fantastic team here at iRacing. We’ll be able to add a lot to MGI’s products as well in the long run, to include assets, graphics, technologies and physics. We see a tremendous amount of synergies that we can take advantage of between the studios,” Gardner continued. “That being said, our core strategy, values and culture will remain intact – to build the most realistic and best racing games possible.”

“Rich and I worked together for many years at Papyrus, with great success,” added Kaemmer. “We are at a point as a company that we are comfortable building out these two new teams to explore the broader racing game market to ultimately funnel serious sim racers to our flagship product iRacing on the PC. Rich and the Monster team will be an important part of that strategy as we use our code and experience to bring their games to another level. I am very excited to be working with Rich again, as well as the extremely talented team at Monster Games.”

“I’m really excited for the future of Monster Games and iRacing,” said Garcia. “To be working with my longtime friend and colleague Dave once again is awesome. Our studios will really complement each other’s and I fully expect to see positive impacts on both products. To now have tools and resources, and quite frankly time, to build these games and to do it with the leading racing simulation company in the marketplace is beyond exciting for me. I can’t wait to get started!”

Just as with the recently announced acquisition of Orontes Games by iRacing, combining forces with Monster Games enhances iRacing capabilities and will allow iRacing to grow further in the racing and gaming spaces. The core product, iRacing, will benefit in both the short and long term and remains the focus.

We look forward to sharing more information on the direction of these studios and the products they will work on in the coming year.

iRacing will add to what is already an industry-leading lineup of officially licensed dirt tracks with multiple content releases over the course of 2022. The first scheduled release will add Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, a mainstay of the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car and Late Model Series, to the service in the spring, with additional tracks coming in future builds.

Home of the Ironman 55, a 55-lap feature for the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars staged every August, Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 is a third-mile high-banked dirt oval located in Pevely, Missouri. The track will host additional World of Outlaws events for sprint cars on April 15-16 and the late models, Xtreme Outlaw sprint cars, and DIRTcar Summer Nationals on June 24-25.

Following Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, dirt tracks coming to iRacing later in 2022 include Wheatland, Missouri’s Lucas Oil Speedway and Pennsylvania’s Port Royal Speedway. Announcements on multiple additional dirt ovals set to join iRacing will be made in the coming months. Alongside the upcoming dirt oval releases, Lucas Oil Speedway’s off-road track will also join the iRacing service in a future build.
