it works. :woohoo: For those with newer handsets there's now a proper jailbreak that allows you to turn your phone on and off without having to do a tethered boot again. http://www.spiritjb.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

back up your phone first

i should add this too, Installous is like an unofficial app store, there's even some......... erm.....trial versions on there like TomTom.

go into Cydia, navigate over to Manage, then click on Sources, and click Edit in the top right hand corner, then Add on the top left corner, once you’ve clicked add, type in “Cydia.hackulo.us” into the http repository screen. Then tap on Add Source and it’ll give you a message about piracy. Click OK on the message and download Installous through this new repo!

Do this with caution. I don't know if it is an issue with OS X or not, but my phone is fucked, and has been for the past hour or so.

Well the iPhone just kept coming up with the Apple logo and doing nothing else.

Seems ok now.

had to restore back... was silly enough to think I wouldnt have any issues. Which means I lost my iphone pics from tassie :( I hadn't backed up since before I left.

yeah thats correct... mine was an early 3Gs, and shouldnt need special stuff to do it.. I wonder if my bootrom isnt right for this jailbreak.

Thats normally the issue mate, finding the right jailbreak for your bootrom. I would have thought by now though there would be a JB that works.
