Yeah I slid into a cone at one point, and it dislodged a row of the radiator fins. That's what I was stuffing back in and fixing with tape.

Then at the end of a long day, they did their hair and went to the Blue Oyster bar for daiquiris!

Bastards
It was ace fun. I had my old wheels and tyres with loads of tread on so I took advantage of that, but a tyre fitting company comes along too, so you can buy old tyres specifically for the day. They even sold tyres to get you home, just in case
I did have to tweak the car a bit as it was understeering badly at the beginning. After tweaking the suspension it was brilliant to throw around and quite easy to drift, especially without my mate in the car.
To be honest, I've had the car seven years but only now after a decent full alignment, Koni suspension, polybushes and Axxis brake pads (which are phenomenal), it's driving better than ever. I'm absolutely in love with it again

Yeah they are Aussie made. I drove an MX-5 with standard brakes last week and was shocked at the difference now I've got used to the Axxis. They're not cheap mind, and it remains to be seen how long they'll last, but in all conditions they are a huge upgrade.

I sense this thread has taken a twist
But I must admit, the event was actually organised by John Frieda and the prize for best slide was a manicure and treatment at a salon.
