Post by Cutter »

Just put a deposit for this.
The S version with all the goodies in metallic silver. 3 weeks wait.
Should keep the mountainbiker happy.

But I'll miss the PT cruiser.....sniff.....

CVT Automatic or Manual?

6 Speed manual.

The boss wanted that so, that was that...
But here's a weird thing, the engine cuts out after 30 secs (or so) when stoppedstopped, but restarts in 10ms or so once you take your foot of the clutch.
Scares u to death the first few times.

Nice, did you cross shop against anything else in the class? (ASX or Dualis?) If so, how did it come up? My dad's partner bought one recently - same colour, transmission and spec actually but she never looked at another car which always irks me a bit.

I quite like the look of them, but I've heard the 2 litre struggles as it's not a torquey engine. If only the the old 2.5 SOHC hadn't been killed off by emissions regs. :(

Impreza XV.

Basically it's the new Impreza with bulked-up bumpers and jacked-up springs.

Bah! By mere seconds! And I put it to you, captain of Team Pedant, that I was actually more correct. It's the "Subaru XV" and not the "Subaru Impreza XV". :tilt:

Take that pedant where, norbs? Did you perhaps mean, "Take that, pedant."?

I was excited so I dropped the comma. Should I have used a P in pedant to signify a nickname? God almighty, you poor wife and child. :D

Vw Tiguan, also the Peugeot 4008.
Very close race, Tiguan lost for demanding premium fuel and lack of rear leg room.
The Pug nearly won it with fixed price servicing, but lack of backseat room tripped it up as well.

What won it for the Subie was fixed price servicing, heated seats, back seat room for the 6 foot son and a full compliment of all extras, without any hidden costs.

Forester is quite a bit bigger, despite being on the same platform.

Subaru have quite a history in this department, with previous generations known as Impreza RV. Then there's the Outback which is a jacked-up Liberty.
