GT2014 – Race 5 – Mugello

Post by pixelboy »

Ok, we've changed it up due to problems with the track....

We are now at Mugello with the all the GT's..

We'll race Le Mans another time..

http://www.aacl.net.au/gt2014-race-5-mugello/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Please note : There seems to be some issues with the AACL website picking up the lap time info from STEAM. This is a problem with STEAM we think. Pix is away from now (Sat arvo) til Wednesday, so if it hasn't sorted itself out, he has a tweak that will let people just register for the race. - norbs

A couple of warnings for those having never driven this track.

1. Stay off the kerbs, they are very inviting being so wide & smooth but treat them as though they are made of ice.
2. When doing HL's don't cut the last 2 chicanes too aggressively as your time won't register to Steam even though you won't get an in-game slow down penalty.
3. Don't let your mind wander along the straights, stay concentrated to find you braking points & remember exit speed is the key for a good lap time. Fast in, Faster out. :p

Entries are open: http://www.aacl.net.au/gt2014-race-5-le-mans/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've had problems getting hotlap data for this track so let me know if you have any problems.

Now I remember why I hate these long boring circuits with a passion.

Over 4 minutes for a lap and I still cant get the thing to register. No corners cut, taking it easy at all spots and do a 4:50 and doesnt register.

Fuck you lemans!

Umm, RenZ is also having trouble tonight with getting a HL to register, I wonder if it's a steam issue?

I tried everything to get it to work.

doing more than 1 lap
driving like a grandpa
driving down the centre of the track
default set
deleting previous HL's
restarting PC
yelling at the screen
drifting
standing on my head and rubbing my belly

I could get it to put the PB in my profile but the AACL website still wouldnt take it.

Im not a fan of this version of Le Mans at all, not using ripple strips does my head in.

We are back to the GT cars. Give us a little bit of time to sort the page out. Sorry for the confusion.

just a little bit of info, when i registered my entry for Le Mans i had to have assetto corsa running in the background to get it to resister, could be just a coincidence but my first two tries didn't work then i opened AC didn't do any laps just tried again and it worked.

My best lap so far is a 1:48, if you guys don't get down to 1:45's then somethings wrong.

The steam api that I query is having issues I think.. If it doesn't sort itself in the next couple of days I'll work something out.

Given the change of tacks, here's the current RSR WR times.

BMW M3 GT2 = 1:43.057
BMW Z4 GT3 = 1:44.716
Ferrari 459 Italia (stage 3) = 1:50.272
McLaren MP4/12C GT3 = 1:43.745
