I'll see if there's an update to the extension.

There haven't been any changes to the forum side of things. We're still running the latest available version.

Maybe try deleting the ARSE bookmark and re-adding it.

There's an update to the phone app today.

Update and see if that fixes it.

I'm getting it in the new version as well. Very odd. If I need to go to a specific forum now I just use chrome and the mobile version of the forum.

Just to be clear Kev, we're saying that Tapatalk is shit rather than questioning anything on the ARSE side of things.

Yeah I know :)
I'm just trying to work out if it's the addon I have to make tapatalk usable on my side or if it's the smartphone app side of things.

I suspect they'll update the software side shortly and then hopefully it'll all work properly again.

They seem to be causing more problems than they're fixing

I'll double check tonight in case there's any little old bits of the code left behind.

In unread or just when browsing? I can now view unread but only if I use the new version of the app, but can't browse any sub forums.

I would say either we look at another piece of software or forget trying to use apps all together.

If Tapatalk has no alternatives, maybe just use your browser. Kev doesnt get paid to sort out the BS from other peoples software.

Yep I'm not expecting Kev to spend anytime on this unless he wants too. ;)
Just pointing out that I'm having the same issues as others are reporting, just in case one of us works out a work-around or fix.
I actually think it's the dev who's farked it all so no matter how much Kev tries it's probably not getting fixed until an update to the plugin &/or app.

by the way using a browser on portable devices just sucks arse, especially for forums... I'm also not sure what other alternatives there are to TT & if they are they'll probably not be anywhere near as good to use. :(

i was just looking at the tapatalk phpBB forums and every plugin update(current is 1.1.3) that comes out brings new issues. https://support.tapatalk.com/threads/ta ... ack.29590/

If I knew how to do it, I would kill it now.

Kev, it is up to you, but I would prefer you didnt spend too much time on it.

i think we'll just have to keep an eye on the progress of the plugin and hope it gets fixed. The Tapatalk guys have rooted up so badly in the last year, they changed their app to be a lot worse, constant problems with the forum plugin, and they also sent a cease and desist notice to the guy that made ForumFeind which was a good alternative program. But it relied on Tapatalks plugin so they went after him. The good thing is the guy in charge of the phpBB plugin seems to update it quite often and tries to help out as much as possible. The problem is they fix one issue and cause another. Fingers crossed he gets it all sorted soon.
