Last one.
Still the constructors championship and runner up in the drivers to be decided.

With the way the season has gone, I can well see either McLaren or Norris making an unforced error that'll give Ferrari the trophy.
It feels more like McLaren and Red Bull have lost points than Ferrari have earned them, which would make it a slightly odd way to win a championship.

He hates that Merc so much he wanted to just park it at Qatar and Bono told him if he did he'll get a 5sec penalty at this race.

The car he has won in this year? I think he is just making excuses. He has checked out.

Agree. I dunno what's gone wrong for him there (well I suspect he wanted the car made to fit him and his style better and they wouldn't do it) but he's just been counting down the days this season until he could leave.
I think he'll get trounced at Ferrari. Leclerc will beat him hands down. He's not as quick as he used to be by quite a way.

Yep he's sure done with Mercedes.
Not a word said by him after the Qatar race.
I'm also not convinced Leclerc will white wash him & I can't wait to see how it plays out @ Fezza next year.

Re: 2024 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX
Surely by this time, Mercedes will be withholding information about this year and next year's developments. He's probably just feeling the psychological impact of that. Understandable enough, but for a bloke who has 'still we rise' on his helmet, and tells those with fewer opportunities than most to never give up, it's a little narrow minded.

Re: 2024 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX
I get the sense that drivers who reckon they could be taking the fight to Max next year have been keen to let him know that they know how he plays the game now, and they're not having it. Russell, Norris and Piastri at least have let it be known that they're not going to bow down before him. Hamilton's already been there and Leclerc's been on the receiving end of it too, and he's savvy enough to know the score.
Several teams have caught up with RBR now so Max can't just stick it on pole and clear off, and we know he can't race wheel-to-wheel so him being in the mix could make 2025 very spicy. I'm already looking forward to it.

Re: 2024 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX
What a season that would have been if it had started 7 races in.
Bodes well for next year (but we say that every year!! )
Good drive from Norris to take the constructors and well deserved for McLaren. What a turn around they've had from a handful of years ago when they were going out in Q1.
You're spot on Durbs. I think they've all been setting out their stall for next year by basically telling Max enough is enough. They all race fair and he doesn't and they're not going to take it any more. Now we'll see how good he really is. Bring it on.

Re: 2024 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX
Given some of the fuckwittery of Russel, it's hilarious he is the one taking the stand. Although given the amount of times he dobs on his peers, it should
be no surprise. I very much doubt Verstappen will change, and now with a kid on the way, I think he is even more likely to bail on F1.
Im glad LeClerc eventually got a mention at the end for his drive after Croft jizzed out a few more loads over Hamilton's drive. It will be good to see how Hamilton fares against LeClerc and I really hope they get someone good in against Verstappen (I doubt this, I think he, like Hamilton with Bottas, wants someone he knows he can beat). Surely Checo is gone.
It's a bit shit that we now seem to have a lot of teams around the same pace, and even some of the mid pack performing, and in 26 we get new regs again.
