I'm with Sterls on that.. druther have Mallala than China.. had a few test runs at that, and to be perfectly frank.. I suck at it.

Mallala FTW!

I had a quick run through of Mallala last night, seemed fairly decent track.. tho quite uneventful.

Adding all us other crazy ARSE V8 drivers to the reverse grid sprint races should spice it up a little. :D

I find Jaiding is a bit odd, lots of wide arcing corners with changes of directions, not at all easy to get a flow on or for that matter a setup that works, my VZ doesn't seem to like it. Quite a few long straights too wind the V8 up on the full config tho.... :tilt:

Bahrain is indeed one of the best made tracks. I've liked how easy the short tracks are to learn though. They seem to keep the racing close too...

I haven't had a go at Mallala but will check it out before I make my call. :tilt:

Yep I agree, gives everybody a chance, quick to learn, and with just a little bit of practice at least your somewhat competitive.

The Jiading rFactor track is really bad, he just made it off a map and didn't know about the elevation changes and stuff - it's nothing like the real thing :(

I agree 100%, I would be happy to stick to short tracks all season (other then bathurst!)

Mallala isn't that bad of a track. quite alot of passing spots in the braking zones. just make sure you get the 1.1 version with the timing fixes

This is the info I was going with....
SHoNKY wrote:There seems to be some different ideas on what was planned, Gizmo initially posted on page 1 of the main thread what he had planned, but on page 3 of the same thread is what he finally decided on, below is the format he put up.
Round 1 Hidden Vally 48 laps
Round 2 Pukekhoe 3x20 laps Race 2 reverse grid. Race 3 grid done on points
Round 3 Barbagallo 56 laps
Round 4 Mallala 3x20 laps Race 2 reverse grid. Race 3 grid done on points
Round 5 Jiading laps TBA
Round 6 Symmons Plains 60 laps
Round 7 Sandown 100 Laps (driver change)
Round 8 Bathurst 100 laps (driver change)
Of course we'll have to figure of what Jaiding will be.
Happy to slide out Jiading and place Bahrain into its place seeing the that V8's are heading there in a few weeks :)

Bahrain is fine by me, I've had a crack at Jaiding and didn't think much of it.

The poooches mod is pretty good.............

Bahrain does have the missing windscreen glass bug from the replay but that won't make any difference when racing. :driver:

We're doing Mallala next week at AOR as well. Any interest in me putting a shared password on our server so we can mingle/share setups etc?

I should warn you that some of our guys tend to just do lots of practice laps and not many races, but with more in the server it might encourage them to race more :)
