WTB: Nintendo Wii

Post by J_luo88 »

Wanting to get one for the gf as her birthday is coming up soon, and i've looked around, EB, Kmart, Myers, David Jones and Toys'r'us, but they seem to be all sold out! Are they currently out of stock in Melbourne or Australia for that matter?

If not, what sort of deal should i consider as good, or that you guys have seen before. I know you should be able to get a normal wii with only one controler and no nunchuck and WiiSports for $399, but are/were there deals around where it may come with two controlers and two nunchucks?

I bought one 3 weeks ago

Do you have EB Games there?

They told me that they are the "nintendo preferred seller" or some bull crap, but they had 30 odd in store.

Harvey Norman had none, and hadn't for a while

ToysRUs had a few in stock

They are $399 everywhere, at Toys Russ they had a special pay $30 more and get a choice of one of a few new games.

EBGames promise to "match" prices and they matched that offer

Where you will REALLy struggle are the extra controllers

I ordered one thru EB games, it arrived last week, they said some people have been waiting for months and months.

PS bloody good fun!

Wii's are bloody awesome but nintendo cant keep up stock at places.

took me 3 months to get a 2nd wii controller, got my wii from myer (of all places) cause they just happened to have a few after some xmas cancellations. i paid, $399 and got a wii, controller, numchuck, wii sport, free game (some spiderman thing ive played once, frend or foe or something)

now im on the lookout for a 2nd nunchuck, couldnt find any at ttp last night.

think with Wii's you just goto keep a look out for what u want, ull eventualy find what ure after. Thats from my experience.

The Wii zapper is what I'm looking for now. God I've wasted a lot of cash on extras for our Wii at home...
  • 3 x Wiimotes (4 total)
  • 3 x nunchucks (4 total)
  • 2 x classic controllers
  • 2 x Guitar Hero III controllers

Yeah, i plan on just checking all the department stores to see if they have it.

I really want one that comes with a nunchuck so i dont' have to go and buy it extra.

Yeah it does. You should get 1 x Wiimote and 1 x Nunchuck in the standard package.

Spent a few hours playing the boxing game on wii sports last sunday.

Not sure i've ever been more immersed in a game for eons!

The game takes a while to "get", but boy its dun when you do.

I was sweating like a pig, and yelling at the opposition to "stay down or get another hiding" at the top of my voice when the 10 count was on.

My kids thought i was "gay" and my missus thought i was being an idiot.

Oh, and i could hardly lift a pen on sunday.
