Re: GTR Evolution (GTR3 to include "The Green Hell")
reading through RSC sounds like its just going to be an optional addon to race07 so its not GTR3

Re: GTR Evolution (GTR3 to include "The Green Hell")
in my opinion thats a good thing. I think R07 craps on GTR2, but is lacking in variety. By that I mean I think Race07 simulates WTCC better than any other sim simulates any given series. But Race07 is limited by that same asset.Shaun wrote:reading through RSC sounds like its just going to be an optional addon to race07 so its not GTR3
If GTR Evo can add to Race07 by giving us enduros for example, thats a massive gain. How about proper pit stops? another gain. etc. etc. etc. plenty to improve on but Race07 is a great place to start.
lots to look forward to
and as much as the 650hp WTCC concept cars are not real, they will provide gangloads of fun @ the 'ring

It will be a standalone product as well as available as an expansion to Race07.
Which is awesome because for the people who havnt purchased race yet we get it all in one package.
Any idea wether they are still simulating the genuine fia GT championship or is this purely gt cars on random tracks? Hopefully it will be a much more recent season of GT then what has been the case with the previous 2 gtr titles.
I am a bit worried by the wtcc extreme cars......i hope its just some creative flair and imagination that has gone into these and that its not a indication of a arcade type product. Coming from simbin i doubt they would go down the arcade path so im hoping its just creativity at work.

Some nice screenies, and a better selection of cars than i was antisipating Looking healthy. Would have liked some more tracks, but the race07 lineup is good enough to substanciate things

Hmmm... really not interested anymore. If I got it, it would be to hotlap that track and that would pretty much be it.

If i decide to setup a gaming/sim rig again ill get this... I had a heap of fun with GTR/GTR2... altho a majority of any time i spent on the sim was offline I still had a blast.

So whats actually shit about it?Speed wrote:OMG that is shit.
How does it compare against GTR and GTR 2 and even RACE07?
Has it gone down the arcade route?

It is probably in the same league as GTR2 & Race07 which I'll admit, I used to enjoy.VIPEROSI wrote:

I drove the fastest Radical at Nurby & Curitiba & it just felt lifeless or something & the forcefeedback driving down the straights seemed quite ridiculous, just vibrating like a playstation 2 game.
