Good timing for you richo, better than the 1 hour demo they gave previously.

Re: F1 2012
I don't think I'll be buying the PS3 version. I just can't get enough precision on the joystick to drive it properly. It's ok on the wide straight track of monza in the demo but at monaco I'd be bouncing off the walls. I need to have a better pay on the PC version.

Re: F1 2012
Yeah the understeer is a joke. Had a decent play yesterday and it just doesnt feel like the car has much power. Barely spinning the wheels out of slow 2nd gear corners etc. Still it feels nice to drive compared to 2011. Other than the understeer. But when i tried to play tonight the steering isn't working great. Like i have a deadzone set. I turned it up then to 0 but still feels weird.

Re: F1 2012
I bought it on PS3 last night and gave it a crack, i didn't find it to understeery unless i had dropped my wheels onto the grass or coming in why too hot to a corner.

Run off line and you under steer. It's the second thing I noticed, first being the wheel spin which I'm getting a lot of. It took me a long time to sort my G25 to get a good feel for the steering. You got to keep it bang on line and it feels like it's on rails but go off line and it drives horrible.

This is the thing that gets me about people wanting sims to have a dynamic track surface/line, it might be realistic, but it's not fun and makes racing less interesting rather than more.Dr. Pain wrote:Run off line and you under steer. Re: F1 2012
I fixed my wheel issue. All i had to do was re set it to g27 configuration and it is fine now

As does most of the 'next level' stuff people want added like rain, dynamic weather, additional garage options etc etc. I tend to think the guys that are slower want this stuff as they hope it will somehow level the playing field and they can make up for their talent deficency by being 'smarter' or something equally deluded.

Re: F1 2012
I want proper weather in a sim more than anything. Dynamic weather where in the last 15 laps of a race you start to see the clouds rolling in and light raining appearing. Do you pit for wets or grow a pair and stay on slicks?......not many Sims have done this, but when they do, boy is it fun!
I dont think its got anything to do with the ability of the person, but more about wanting fundamental parts of motorsport to be included into Sims.

If it were Monaco that simulation would be perfect!

Re: F1 2012
One of the guys at work went ballistic when he found out he couldn't enter a whole season as any driver he wanted, and had to go through career mode...
Seems we don't have the same feeling about Grand Prix mode?
