saw a doco on iview last night "Close Up: Photographers at work: Portraits" that was pretty interesting. Was interesting the range of cameras that were used.

Thanks for that. I like the two old ones; Albert and Sylvia. They made the most sense to me.
It always comes back to the same thing for me though; it doesn't matter what camera you use, it's the concept that counts.
I also notice that not one of those people is using the now-obligatory razor-thin depth of field. It shows how little notice they take of the internet.

Our cameras do the same thing; yes. We just don't over-use it.
