Re: Windows 10
I've heard these are popping up. The official date isn't until July though I believe so this must be a staggered release.

Yep, this could have been mentioned in the recent Keynote. I think you've got 12 months to decide if you want a free (full copy) of Windows 10.

Funnily enough, just booted up my Win7 machine at home and I have the message too. I'll certainly be upgrading. I quite like 8.1.

I've got Windows 10 in a VM, I've just got to remember to use it more often.

It's on my machines too. Probably going to preload.

Re: Windows 10
From what I've read, if you get the offer it's free window 10 with full support. It's in response to the complaints about 8 and 8.1

Re: Windows 10
Might have to grab if/when I get the offer. I take it a hell of a lot of people will jump on board. Most people do with apple iOS and OSX releases because of the way they launch them. Seems this is similar. I usually wait a good 12 months for windows releases to see how it goes, and wait for patches and fixes. But with the massive release in this way, hopefully those patches and fixes come along much faster. Good move by Microsoft I reckon.

What about a simple drive image, when installed.
