I held the record for two races before Knappo smashed it.

That last run was on the edge. Don't know where I found that .7 from!

Bloody awesome isn't it. A car that actually needs to be driven and you're never on top of it. Every corner is an adventure and you can never take for granted what it will do. Absolute blast to drive. Hearty congratulations to the bloke that did it, he really nailed the dynamics of the car and I've deep admiration for the effort it must've taken. I'm now praying he also does the hugely upgraded 550A and if we're really lucky another early Porsche.norbs wrote:That Porsche, jesus!
Quite a few questions about what happened. I was passed by many 49's like I was standing still but it still somehow said that I won the race by a handy margin... NFI what that's about. Whole thing was a bit baffling to be honest, AC Multiplay is not a patch on the VROC/GPL experience in my opinion.
How many races did you do? I did the one it seemed to end so I thought that was it and went down to the Pub to watch the Cricket.
Any way to disable that ugly whopping great car outline that comes up when you lock a brake etc? I know when I've locked a bloody brake I don't need some ridiculous popup telling me so. Completely kills immersion.
And any way to disable that ribbon along with the bottom with the other car details?
Was that a GPL track? Seemed a bit 'elderly' but yeah like home to me I slotted right in, probably why I did ok LOL.

There were atleast a dozen races! Due to the difference in speed of the cars, the Alfa got a 5s headstart over the Porsche which had a 2 minute start over the 49.
Yes there is a way to remove the ribbon and the damage indocator but you'll have to ask someone else as I cant access my pc atm and cant remember how!

OK now I'm even more confused LOL I started 3rd behind a 49 and a 550. The 49 dumped the clutch and spun off on the start (lol) and the 550 lost it in T1. I did not pass any Alfas at all. Twilight zone shit!
Later on I squeezed through a couple 49's on the grid on full song. Were they non corporeal or something? I could've easily had a big crash there.
Anyone help with these overlays?

Nah it just so happened that the 49's were about a lap faster over that distance, they would have taken off just after you passed..... the other one was prob just practice starting off the lights or goofing around until the 2 min mark. It was a handicap race like at the aussie GP where a road car goes first; then the V8 then the F1 with the idea that it should be close over the finishline.
Teamspeak really is a must have to know what's going on. It's not always in that format but I think most agree it's the most fun
Some hints:
F9 gets rid of the timing overlay (or cycles through to turn off anyway)
CTRL +Q: Remove Damage indicator
F11: Virtual Mirror
Ctrl +A: ABS toggle
Ctrl +T: traction control
Move the mouse to the right of screen when in the cockpit on track for a heap more overlays and options
