Attention Rift Users - You may find that at the end of a multiplayer race, Assetto Corsa helpfully teleports you back to the pits, inside someone else's car. The usual answer to this is to press Ctrl-Numpad2 and you'll automatically be relocated to your own car.
THIS IS BAD. CTRL-Numpad 1-4 all control the Asynchronous Time and Space Warp functions in the Rift driver. In the case of CTRL-Numpad 2, it disables ASW and tells the app to display at 45Hz, resulting in nasty juddery effects.
There seems to be no way to change the ASW keybindings, so AC is the only place for it.
Add the following to the bottom of your Documents\Assetto Corsa\cfg\controls.ini file (in your windows user home directory)
Code: Select all
[NEXT_CAR]
JOY=-1
BUTTON=-1
XBOXBUTTON=-1
;KEY=0x63; num 3
KEY=0x69; num 9
[PREVIOUS_CAR]
JOY=-1
BUTTON=-1
XBOXBUTTON=-1
;KEY=0x61; num 1
KEY=0x67; num 7
[PLAYER_CAR]
JOY=-1
BUTTON=-1
XBOXBUTTON=-1
;KEY=0x62; num2
KEY=0x68; num8
Henceforth you can use Ctrl-Numpad 8 to jump back to your own car. CTRL-Numpad 7 and 9 for next and previous car.
Note that the settings may be lost if you edit your controls in the game afterwards.
I had found this somewhere on the internets a few months ago, then when it no longer worked, I couldn't find it again. Thanks Windows keeping old versions of files, I was able to find the overwritten version with the above settings. I thought it might be useful to preserve it here.
