I'm disappointed. Very. Definitely rushed it to finish it I believe.

I guess some would have preferred if everyone died or something?

Re: Game of Thrones (TV series)
Lame ending to a lame series which for me let the whole story down.
Mind you a story this big & entangled was always going to be hard to finish no matter where the writers took it.
Let's hope George finishes the books one day so we get to see how he approaches this very difficult task.

Didn't the writers of the tv series know where he wanted the books to finish and worked to that?

I saw someone say it was like Daenerys hair. Intricately weaved and perfect on top, falling away to a mess of hair at the bottom.

Re: Game of Thrones (TV series)
I thought it was ok. I gather George RR Martin pushed them to do another couple of series to tie it up properly, but the writers wanted to get on with Star Wars or something. That makes sense and explains a lot.
The final series became the derivative American TV cliche stuff that Game of Thrones wasn't, but I think it holds up on the strength of what came before.

Re: Game of Thrones (TV series)
People are saying it was rushed, but it felt like all the last series were over 1h 15m each ep.

Re: Game of Thrones (TV series)
The battle with the white walkers could have been an ongoing thing instead of a 1 ep and they are all dead.
The last episode could have been 1 ep for fallout from killing dany, 1 ep for everyone else regarding this and deciding to go to kings landing. Easily could have used more fleshing out than even that.
In saying this, I liked the choices made, didn't see bran being king at all there so that was a nice surprise for me personally. I don't think you could have ended this show without people either saying - I wish it never ended, or it was boring now anyway. I think they fell more towards the latter but did a decent job overall.

Re: Game of Thrones (TV series)
I enjoyed it but agree that the last series could have been spread out a bit more, over say 10 episodes. It would have benefited from some more details I think.
