I know there is probably not a lot of you watching these but maybe one day someone here will find some of them useful.

Re: Project CARS 2
So I tried the following in VR...
So I turned off the HUD and all indicators, turned up the sound, full damage and drove a Group C Jag. It was fun but strange having no lap signalling and I was too busy to read the lap timer in car. But it was fun. The GTO Mustang was harder work and the game crashed with 7 mins to go, but it was hard work in that car. My PC loves me at times. This is well worth a shot if you have VR.

It's my PC not the game GT. A couple of games do it too me and PCars2 will run fine but I need to restart before I play. Since moving to windows 10, I've had endless troubles with driver conflicts ect... and my system just doing odd shit. I had 4 days the other week where my PC would not boot.

My RAM is fine as I've already tested it. It's when I play Overwatch then go to play other games that things get unstable software wise. That's all on an SSH hybrid drive but I am getting a 3TB barracuda next week so hopefully that works when I move steam onto that.

Re: Project CARS 2
If the disk/ssd is suspect there should be some errors in the Windows event viewer. There's tools for doing complete scans of those too. SMART counters would indicate if blocks are getting re-mapped or are failing.
The Windows Event Viewer is always worth looking at.
If you've nailed it down to Overwatch as the precursor to all failures then it could be an OS/driver issue, as those are the things that hang around after the game exits. If I recall, you have fancy RGB lighting in everything. Do you have Overwatch specific plugins for that stuff?

Not that I am having any issues (touches erect penis) but I wish I could figure out how to turn of the mardis gras light show on my machine.
I have grabbed the Cool Master light control thing, but it will not stick.

Re: Project CARS 2
It's consistent at being inconsistent Cursed. OS never fails and is stable, RAM and drives all show up as fine. My PC not booting, I put that down to my old sound card, which once out everything went fine. I don't use any Overwatch plugins but Corsair's CUE for the RBG keyboard and mouse could be the cause, but if I restart before playing PCars2 then I have no issues. Diablo III does have it's own RGB lighting and that cool when it's going but that's the only one that does it. I'm not too concerned about games crashing from time to time. I was more worried that it was a motherboard related issue but again it's not hinting at that either. Only thing I can do is update drivers until I can build a new PC down the track.
Norbs, you touching yourself is why you have the Mardis Gras light show. Does you PC let rip a big "HELLO SAILOR!" when you meerkat?
But back to PCars2... Full immersion in VR is great and I thought about it for FNF but with people still in 2D it would be unfair to have them turning off all HUD and indicators.

It shits me to tears that you need ICE running to light the keyboard up.

Re: Project CARS 2
There were issues with CUE causing random system freezes a year or 2 ago. Make sure you've got the latest version of it, or try uninstalling it for a while just to see if the problem goes away.

The mouse needs CUE for how I have it set. Without it, it's shit and you can't adjust the DPI.

Why are all game developers a bit nuts? Is it the autism that makes them good that also makes them have trouble talking to normal people?

So Steam has P-Cars 2 at 75% off ($21.23) - worth a look, or played out?

Re: Project CARS 2
It seems to have run its course for Friday nights, but if you're ok with single player it's worth a look. Lots of good cars and tracks in it.
Friday nights have been rfactor 2 and wreckfest lately. Probably needs something new like Automobilista 2 to reinvigorate things.
