Checo to start 13th after the Q2 track limits issue.
I don't think Lewis quite had pole in him but he was looking pretty rapid.

Merc said P2 from what I recall. It would be good to throw the Mercs into the mix as well. It could get very spicy.

Reminds me of the scene in Days Of Thunder when Cole wanted to pit but Harry told him not to because he was busy eating an ice cream.

Good race last night, Shame for Carlos.
But I wish Max risked it on softs after the VSC, but made sense to play it safe with such a big lead in Championship

Very weird for Red Bull to have no pace in the race. Still, a shit race for Max and he finishes second. That's why he'll walk the title this year.

Re: 2022 FORMULA 1 ROLEX GROSSER PREIS VON ÖSTERREICH
Another good race although I was very tired watching it. Thankfully, just as I was about to close my eyes, Sainz's car went pop and that woke me up for the rest of the race.
Halfway through the season now. I think the new rules can be considered a success but to be honest, quite a lot of the drama has come from unreliability. It's like F1 was back in the 90s again, where you could never be quite sure when the next big plume of white smoke was going to be.
They've been so incredibly robust in recent years that tension had pretty much gone.

Re: 2022 FORMULA 1 ROLEX GROSSER PREIS VON ÖSTERREICH
Was a decent race. The mix of strategies helps keep it interesting. Seemed those who tried to make a 1 stop ended up better off. Wish Merc's hadn't screwed qual. Would have been interesting to see if they could make it a 3 way battle, though they had no top speed to fight with.

Be nice to see McLaren get in to the mix but they've lost their way a little bit. Aston seem reasonable for race pace but can't qualify to save their lives. Haas are the surprise package of the season so far but I still think Mick is bang average.
If you want a snooze Durbs, it's Paul Ricard next.

Re: 2022 FORMULA 1 ROLEX GROSSER PREIS VON ÖSTERREICH
Forgot to mention a couple of standout highlights - that the 5-way battle into one corner was amazing, and Alonso wagging his finger at Tsunoda was hilarious.
That'll probably do it.
