When I read Switzerland, I wasn't surprised much. It's minor compared to the other stuff that goes on there in the business world.

It 's not not by chance Schumacher choses Switzerland as his home
A very concise caption for the photo.

Makes you wonder if Peter Sauber's been unemployed all these years....

Ralfy also lives in Switzerland. I can hardly blame them leaving Germany when they would get taxed 50 or 60c for every dollar. No sliding scale like we have here. Just an instant 60% goes to the state. Now, choosing to live in Switzerland and having to pay near enough to nothing is being a bit greedy. :tilt:

At least he is paying something. Most live in Monaco where they pay nothing at all.

i reckon the higher cost of living in monaco would offset some of the tax. I can't see it as being a cheap place to live.

But a lot of residents are grand prix driver's, motogp rider's, movie actor's, etc. so they're never around long enough to have to buy anything actually in Monaco. ;)
It's the lower class that basically pay for everything.

Switzerland is also free of income tax.

Yep, but then you see how much they pay for general consumables and things like cars and it all comes back into perspective. Still, I kinda like it that way. Means you pay tax on things you actually use. Would be harsh for very low income earners though.

To tell you the truth there are a number of things which are actually cheaper or only available in Switzerland which you can't find in Italy from medicines to baby-nappies. Thats why Chiasso became such a busy border town with Italians doing all sorts of their day to day activities from shopping to posting parcels just inside Switzerland.

I had no idea Swiss was an official language of Switzerland. I believe that is the French word for Switzerland. In fact the official name you'll see on stamps and the like is Helvetica.
