Fuelly.
I have noticed a couple of people using Fuelly. Thought it would be good to collect them all in 1 thread for comparisons.

Re: Fuelly.
I went looking for a fuel app before I bought my car. Thought Fuelly was the best of them and did my first fill up on the day I picked it up (BP Ultimate every time)
When did you get an i30 Norbs? You had a commodore wagon when I last noticed. Or does that belong to "the" bride?

The eye 30 is 3 years old now. Technically the brides car, but she sells cushions ( www.cooshonz.com ) on the weekend at markets and uses the Commodore, so I do most of the driving in the eye 30 now. Gives me a sore back on long trips, but other than that, great little car for the money. So much cheaper than the Toyota or Mazda equivalent at the time.

Just signed up - will be interesting to see what the difference between the trip computer and the actual numbers are. I have a feeling the computer is a little optimistic...

Re: Fuelly.
I've found that what I put into fuelly is actually better than the computer reading. Not a massive difference but it can be a 0.1 litre difference.

Should I log the rally car mileage?
It uses about 72 litres per 100 km on a competitive stage...

Re: Fuelly.
Is there anything people don't track now? It seems like every aspect of our lives are recorded and uploaded to the internet. Fuel, cycling/walking/running stats, calories, even sleep if you have the right app.
I must admit I never check fuel, in my last few cars I wouldn't be able to tell you if I got 400 or 800kms out of a tank and I never look at the price of petrol before I pull into a station. I've got no idea what petrol or diesel costs at the moment. I wouldn't know if it was $1.30 or $1.60. I just wait until I need it and find the most convenient servo.

Re: Fuelly.
It was more of an observation than a rant, I'm just constantly amazed at how much of our everyday lives can be measured and uploaded to a nifty website that graphs it all. I realised that when I got a motion detector app that measures your sleep pattern based on your movements. Its like our lives are an F1 teams telemetry.

hundreds of people back in the factory monitoring your every move as we speak.... there is some concern with the longevity of your right elbow, it seems to be suffering from over use...

Re: Fuelly.
Wow, well filled up today and fuelly told me it was 12.3l/100km.
I was expecting it to be fairly high, was quite enthusiastic for most of the time and there were a few short trips. Very interesting.
