Mercedes seem to have a stronger car atm and Perez probably won't be a factor so I think it favours Lewis. But after recent races and shenanigans who the fuck knows?

Re: 2021 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX
I want Max to take it as much as that pains me to say so but I cant see it happening at the moment.
No matter who wins, the comment threads post GP will be more toxic than the Rosberg the legend v Loowis days... This year started out so well and has gone to shit ever since Silverstone.
EDIT: That Br1tney auto correct!!!

Re: 2021 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX
Let's hope the track changes make it possible to actually race.
Absolutely no idea what'll happen but assuming it's the two protagonists at the front again, the chance of a good clean race seems slim.
This might all be decided with penalties. That's good for Max - the English don't have a great track record with penalties in major sporting competitions.

I think Hamilton will win but I'd rather it was Max just from the perspective of a bit of variety.
Merc seem to have a slightly better strategic plan. They're often able to stretch out a stint to make the tyres work with the aim being to catch Max with 5 laps to go.

Unbeknown to Pirelli, when they did the new corner changes they added particularly spikey kerbs that are different to all the others on the track. Nice

F2 is looking good for us aussies, Doohan P2 in his second qualifying! Oscar with 5 poles in a role and basically locked in the championship

Re: 2021 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX
Can Big Kev or any of our other British friends tell us if this Sky Sports Christmas Ad is legit or a fan made one?
Going by the comment thread its said to be a real ad that Sky Sports has since taken down...
EDIT: After a bit of Googling it looks legit. Thats pretty messed up! Sky Sports British bias has always been hard to stomach but that's a new low.

I've not seen those but yeah, it's a bit of a weird one if it's real.
Presumably they did a bunch of them with various highlights from the season?

Yeah a very odd choice of clips.
Red Bull have now asked them to remove the clips.

Stat of the day
If you added up all the F1 race distances and finishing times this year, it's the equivalent of racing from London to New York and Hamilton would only be ahead by 9 seconds.

Mazepin out with a positive covid test. Doesn't look like they'll be running the car with a reserve driver.

Re: 2021 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX
So anxious waiting for this to start. Hopefully Max just gets away cleanly and does the job with no controversy. I have no issue with Lewis (actually more of an issue with Max lately) but a change at the top would be nice.

I'm with Brundle on that Max pass. I thought Rosberg actually gave a pretty balanced view of all the moves between them before the start.
