Goodbye

Post by Gizmo »

After nearly two years of racing LFS and about 7 years of sim racing the time has come for me to put the wheel in the closet. I've decided to give it away.

I'll probably still be around on the forums but I highly doubt I’ll ever be in a server again.

I want to apologize to anyone that I may have offended with my "out of character" remarks over the last few nights.

A big thank you to AR for accepting me into the team. And thank you to the ARSE community. I've met some really good blokes. People I’m proud to call a friend.

Giz Thats no good mate. I never heard an out of character remark from you in the past (although I haven't seen you around for a while). So long as you stay in the forums though.

Hope all goes well for you mate.
They should make sham wow stubbie holders so if ya spill ya beer you can soak it straight up and put it back in the stubbie

i smell......dare i say it............. DRAMA!!!!!

lol.. in all seriousness, and no disrespect Gizmo, why announce that you're quitting? seems silly to me, why not just take a break? 3 months down the track u might get the bug again and get back into it.And won't u look like a Dil then.. lol... If not, then a subtle fading into oblivion will take place as per every other LFS'er who has decided to end their racing.

Sad to see you hang up the boots, but again.. i dont see the point in this post, sorry.

p.s.. not that i'm sayinh any of my posts have points either

after saying that though, Giz, you've been a joy to race against and and upmost gentleman/woman at the worst of times...

Wow didn't see this coming either.

"Good Race" mate, had some great races over the years[?], you winning almost all of them :) Was waiting for you to come back to an AAL series and take over Chaz's crown, but it seems not to be.

I'm sure you will wipe the dust off your wheel one day [LFS S3? :D]... Anyway hope to race you again sometime! Good luck :)

Wow, that's kind of shocking news. Much like what Hz-Labs said, why dont you just take a break and then come back whenever you find yourself wanting to set the track on fire or soemthing simliar.

Anyway, hope you do come back soon, although i haven't raced you much. =]

I've never understood this whole business about not being allowed to let people know you're no longer going to be involved in something if it's online. If I were to stop any of my hobbies I'd want to talk to the folks I did it with, not just fail to turn up one day...

I get the feeling the decision was made in haste though. Just don't be afraid to come back Giz.
