LFSEA Anzac Day Battle - "Bumper Cars Of Doom"
Come and join in on some fun LFSing this Anzac Day!
Big thanks to Takumi who made this "Bumper Cars Of Doom" layout last year.
The LFSEA server will be setup all of Friday so pop in and join in on the fun.
If you have not played this LFS game before make sure you give it a go as its some great light-hearted fun.
As mentioned the server will be setup for all of Friday but as some people will be busy throughout the day if we can get a decent sized server in the afternoon you will be rewarded with some real carnage!
The standard ‘LFSEARocks’ password will be used.
If the server is packed out please let us know in this thread as the Austra Racing server will be on standby to cater for anyone else who might miss out.
Rules are simple.
Players are divided into 4 teams (Red, Blue, White, Yellow)
The car we will be using will be the RB4.
Please use the DEFAULT skin and change you car to your appropriate teams colour in the garage).
(if the server is thin on players use 3 or 2 teams and try and make the teams an even number of players)
Each team starts in their corresponding corners marked out with coloured cones. Exit the pits and drive to your colour coded corner, when everyone is in place then let the battle begin!!!
The aim of the game is to flip opponent cars onto their roof, by any means possible. Once a player has rolled, or unable to continue they must spectate, no respawning is allowed.
The game continues until there is only 1 team or 1 car remaining.
That team or individual driver wins the battle.
Once a winner is established the game restarts.
Have fun guys & let the battles begin!!!!!

Knappo, edit the title to say "Bumper cars of Doom" as well and we'll have a full server.

Clutch damage has really tarnished this game now

yeah dont want to put a wet towl on it, but we might need to rethink the setup to not inflict damage on the clutch. Otherwise it goes in about a min.

I doubt it, but I wouldn't have thought it would be too hard to be kind to the clutch.
Simply being aware of it should be enough.

True VT.
I dont think it will be that much of an issue.
If you cook it your asking to be put into orbit, simple
Each event wont take long (they didn’t last time we ran this layout) so its not like you wont get another chance to wreck your opponents.

the bouncyness of the car sets off the clutch, changing gear has nothing to do with it unfortunately. You could probably minimize it all by changing the diffs to all open or all locked etc. nfi which would work best

Re: LFSEA Anzac Day Battle - "Bumper Cars Of Doom"
That sounds a bit odd, I'll have to investigate that. I can't think of any particular reason why a bouncy car would use the clutch more than a solid one.Sambo wrote:the bouncyness of the car sets off the clutch, changing gear has nothing to do with it unfortunately. All open diffs would help, because you're more likely to spin up one wheel than burn the clutch.
Which car are we using? If it's UFR I could maybe understand because the clutch in that thing is, well, you know.

Re: LFSEA Anzac Day Battle - "Bumper Cars Of Doom"
Just use Auto Transmission = auto clutch
There is still an option to set auto clutch in some instance isn't there?
EDIT: Damn it is only for Seq shifter which the RB4 don't have

Yeah, I use auto clutch anyway. I don't seem to have too many clutch problems unless I'm being stupid.
I wonder if this would qualify?

Average to be honest, clutch burn really takes the fun out of demo derby style racing.
Tak i have noticed that a lot of your Blackwood carpark layouts have been altered slightly when Blackwood received its update. No major biggie and its strange that it would affect the carpark layouts, just a lot of objects overlap especially the up and down ramps. I downloaded the 2 UF1 challenges and have fixed them up as they are so much fun to drive.
If you are interested in a copy to save you from fixing them yourself just send me a PM dude.

Re: LFSEA Anzac Day Battle - "Bumper Cars Of Doom"
Nar i just had to relocate either the up ramp or the down ramp as they were overlapping at the tips and it would make you launch off of it, ie as you drove up the ramp you could see the down ramp poking thru the top of the up ramp.. All of the red and white barriers are overlapping now so they look seamless but all of the ramps and the jump over sections required some fine tuning.Takumi wrote:was there much involved in fixing them?
It wasnt hard as i knew what the layout was ment to be like thanks to the events you ran last year
