Speaking more mainstream ways of watching:
Anyone rocking "HBO Now"? I signed up using a US iTunes account, then was able to access it via my PC (HTPC) from the HBC website in my browser (using GetFlix). Quality is good - it appears around 720p, and maxes out at about 2.4Mb/s video.
You get a 30 day free trial - almost enough to cover the entire season.
Other option might be a US iTunes account, and purchase the series... Not sure how soon the eps are released? Pros of this method = 1080p DD5.1

So it appears the first 4 episodes have watermarks & the leak is being pointed at industry critics. http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/tv- ... mjpal.html
As it started officially last night, Episode 1 in HD has now been released.

Re: Game of Thrones (TV series)
Crumbled and bought an Apple TV.
With Getflix and HBO Now, was able to watch the new episode. Surprisingly good quality, I would say higher than most 720p downloads in the past. Highly recommended. Apple can make a good device. Not sure how that entire Apple TV is same cost as an apple USB adapter though...
PS. I'm on Telstra cable, Apple TV hooked in via gigabit. Think it helps.

A funny spin on the leak & piracy in general given the recent AUS court decision around the DBC!!!

If you're interested, the Play store books are on sale for $1.29 for all 4 as a pack.

Just be aware, that it's all four books combined into one!

I've only seen a listing of the first episode & even then it's getting a bagging for it's poor sound quality & lack of subs... be warned!!!norbs wrote:S6 is out there.

I must say it was an epic episode last night, worthy of a second watch to see what was missed.

Re: Game of Thrones (TV series)
One thing that really bugged me about the episode - spoilers etc.
At the end, Sansa reminds Ramsay that his dogs haven't eaten for 7 days, but she never heard him say that. She'd already ridden away from the parley before Ramsay said that to the others.
So how did she know? It's not the sort of information that someone would have mentioned to her after the battle, and she hadn't spoken to Ramsay between the battle and seeing him in the cell.

Jon : We will hang him.
Sansa : No! Feed him to the Dogs!
Jon : Damn woman, I know you're a Stark but that's fucking cold!
Sansa : He killed Rickon!
Jon : Hmm those Dogs are really damn hungry. Sick bastard hasn't fed them for a week.

Before that scene she asked Jon where he was. I assume he set him up in there because of what he said, and could have told her about it when she asked.
