I'm at work all day - how does it leak exactly? Does water pool on the floor when it rains or something?

Yeah I wouldn't fix anything with the glass, I imagine there'll be another update to fix that, 1.5_01 if you will.

It is possible to move the spawn point, I can do it in an editor once they are compatible with 1.5, currently the plugins for Bukkit in regards to moving spawn point and the like add lag from what I've read and I'd like to keep the plugin count & lag to a minimum, it makes things much easier when updates come along. There are plenty of plugins out there that make your map unplayable until their plugin is updated after a MC update, and I think we should avoid putting ourselves in this situation.

As it stands now I'm waiting for a 1.5 compatible build of Bukkit, so I can then install Lockette (chest protection) which will most likely need an update as well to be compatible with the new version of Bukkit, there's a few things that need to happen in order each time there is a MC update, but we will get there in the end.

Don't use stairs for making a roof either, goes through them apparently.

Minecraft 1.5_01 has been released to fix bugs... it fixed them so well that SMP is completely FUBAR.... the beta testers are beyond useless. You can't mine, craft or build other than in single player. Fail.

Epic fail... the patch fixed 3 bugs and created 7 new ones.

Lol, that is pretty funny. I enjoyed the new map last night, was good fun! Hadn't played in ages and it was nice to have a reason to play again. I still haven't been hit by lightning, even after my attempts, lol. Raz getting hit by an electrified creeper was pretty cool.

I always like a new map... not so overwhelming! The rain is cool, need to find a snow area and check out that also.

I regards to the beta version. I really hope it doesn't end up like LFS in that it is never finished. Seems pretty similar at the moment. A small team trying to do lots of things.

I think we should use this map to make models of what we want going forward. I read that we will reset the map so don't get to used to your new house. Is that right?

I plan on making a mini version outside my mine. Try a few things etc.

General consensus last night for the guys that were on, was that the Map was staying and we were going to use the landmass south of the spawn to create a town. There are a few people that like to just go off and do their own thing and like the "social" aspect of the server (My Mrs is one of those people). I'll build a gravel path from spawn to the southern land mass tonight, hopefully, and we can then make a start on the "rustic mining" town and then build on from there?

Sounds fair enough to me. I am a miner more than a builder, so I can contribute some stocks for people.

I forgot how much fun the banter is. The bride walked in last night, and she knew I had a shit day at work, so she wasn't expecting to see me sitting there grinning away like an idiot. I want glowstone/lightstone for my build and an easy lightsource that is easily gotten in SP but we can't get in MP. What I'm proposing is near the spawn point, I'll make a dual chest and fill it with glowstone/lightstone. Once it's gone we can refill it if needed, but I was thinking grab what you need when you need. Any one agree or disagree? It's just an idea instead of me mining 700 buckets of lava for a decent attractive lightsource :P

If it can be mined/grown/gotten then there's no need to spawn stuff to put in the chest. Awesome if you'd like to fill some chests with some stuff Norbs. I'm talking about things that can be mined/gotten in SP but we can't have in MP, like the glowstone etc.
